Nenad just might very well be the guy that saves this team.
He did it in 05-06 when we went on a 14 game winning streak (as always after the all star break) if he can get back to his old self he WILL do it again.
A starting lineup with Kidd,VC,RJ,Nenad and Boone is just scary 5 guys who can be the MAN on every single night and not to mention guys like M Williams,S Williams,Allan,Noki and Swift from the bench, this team can be sooo damn good its just a shame that 1.It refuses to fire its coach and 2.One of the main keys to their sucssess is not at 100% yet.

How does putting him in the starting lineup to play 15min help us win games?
If Frank had a clue on his rotations. Krstic could come in with 7 min left in the 1st either Boone or Swill or when those guys get into early foul trouble. Why does he have to start?

I can tell many reasons why it hurts. How about starting with the lack of confidence in a player by Frank? The confidence that has been built up by a player such as Williams, thus far, yet he gets demoted because Frank wants to make a change. The chemistry issues that could arise with the team because Krstic has been out for over a year. Other teammates now have to adapt to someone else's game, someone many are not familiar with on a regular basis.
My whole point is, you earn the minutes you play. Frank made the excuse for many players in the past, yet now it doesn't pertain to this certain situation. Yet another flaw in Frank's methods.

So you're telling me that by giving krstic the confidence boost he desperately needs to get back into 05-06 form by starting him is gonna hurt the team. So what if he starts, its likely that williams end up playing 25-30 minutes anyways..
This move only helps us in the long run IMHO...

It does hurt. Why do you think they had to shut him down in the beginning of the year? He was a headcase. He lost his confidence, because he wasnt ready and healty enough to start.
Let him work his way back. What is the rush to get him in the starting line up? This is just Frank being paranoid again. They traded Collins and Frank is insecure with the young guys. Let them play.

Jeff...I gotta agree w/ you on this move. I don't expect Kristic to get more than 15 mins but letting him start can only help him. This is a low risk, high reward type of move. We haven't exactly been lighting it up so a little change wouldn't hurt.
About benching Williams, I'm not too worried about his confidence. I think it will help him focus a bit more and maybe become that energy player we so desperately need. We need to stop coddling our guys...its a little overrated in my opinion. If anything, I would be more worried about Kristic's confidence than Williams' confidence.

Actually, It works the other way too.
Start Boone and SWIll. When the offense gets stagnant, insert Krstic for offense.

why would he sit swill, hes been playin well and until Kristic returns to his self he should come off the bench, in addition Frank was playing armstrong
marcus=future
SWAT has been playing inconsistent the last few games. He picks up quick fouls and his defensive rotations have been iffy at best. He relies on his athleticism more than positioning...which is normal for a rookie but makes him prone to fouls and late rotations. His role right now is best fit to come off the bench. He'll be going up against the other team's 2nd team which gives him an advantage. He needs to be that energy guy we need on this team. He'll still get enough minutes to impact the game...just like yesterday's game. He played 20 mins but still got 11 pts, 7 rebs and 3 blocks.
Kristic will benefit big time by playing with the starters. I'm not big on coddling our players but I think Kristic's confidence will shoot up by starting him. He looked much better yesterday in his movement and aggressiveness. Kristic should continue to start as long as his knee is ok.
Marcus has been playing real crappy since he's come back. He's looking more for his shot than to create for the other guys. He's pressing when he's on the floor. Clearly Marcus is better than DA but at least we know what we'll get from DA. Against smaller guards, I think playing DA was a smart move by Frank. Wish he did some of that more often.
