That guy has lockdown defender written all over him and one dunk from him can shift any amount of momentum to his team.

I understand what the guy was probably trying to say, but scrub is the wrong word here. Moon isn't a scrub, but he's not a star player either..."role-player" would've been a better choice.

I watch alot of PTI, what I dont understand is when does Tony actually watch NBA basketball?

all he does is watch reality TV & American Idol and he admits to hitting the hay by 10pm. Dude is shameful.

Dunk contests do need to be about names because most dunks have already been done before. The name helps (just like putting on an old Hawks jersey adds to the dunk).

Speaking of injuries, I always still don't get how VC did that dunk where he stuck his arm right down the rim. He basically landed with all his force, his arm on the rim. Wouldn't that hurt??

As for Moon, I think he'll get props just from his name. His name is catchy and anyone who doesn't know who he is will easily remember him.

Kornholio said the same thing a few weeks back as well. Just shows that the guy doesn't follow anything outside of New York and Boston. Wilbon knows his stuff though.

He wasn't coming down with all his force. He was hanging by the rim. When you jump there's a moment when you stop rising and start falling. It's not like he jumped 20 feet in the air and then fell on his elbow.

For those saying Moon should get in the gym, what do you think he's been doing for the last 7 years? He redefined his game as a defensive stopper and finally accomplished his NBA dream. The man toiled in the minors and on the globetrotters for 7 years.

Like any of the post-VC dunk contest have been entertaining and filled with big 'stars'

Moon is alright, but he ain't an all-star, and he isn't better than Parker IMO. So calling him a scrub isn't totally fair, he ain't no Yogi, so he isn't quite the scrub yet.

Nothing wrong here, Moon is a scrub. Terrible at shooting and his decision making skills are bad, close to none. He provides energy but that's about it. He doesn't take advantage of his athleticism and settles for shots that he can't make.

I thought the ones with Desmond Mason and JRich were pretty good, especially the one where those 2 squared off.

Yep. Don't take what Kornheiser says about the NBA too seriously.

i def cringe when he shoots jumpers too...but his game will get better with time...i mean, even al harrington is a good shooter now...so anything is possible

Werd, remember the days when Calderon couldn't make a shot if his life depended on it?

This team needs Hopla back or at least have JK teach these guys a thing or two.

Still lacked the future star power of the 2000 Dunk Contest which saw VC, T-Mac, Steve Francis, Ricky Davis, Jerry Stackhouse and Larry Hughes.

Uhh, thanks for the explanation. But still, it's something that looked like an injury waiting to happen. I assume you've pulled off this dunk yourself?

With a shooting percentage of .447 Jamario Moon has a better shooting percentage than Michael Redd, Allen Iverson, Baron Davis, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson our old friend Vince Carter, Ben Gordon, Jamal Crawford, Paul Pierce... I still rather see him dunk aggressively than take a shot however...

Who cares what his shooting percentage is? Anyone that actually watches games can tell you he's a horrible jump shooter, and much worse than anyone else you named. Considering how long Moon was in the NBDL, I'm pretty sure if he doesn't have a solid J by now, he'll never have one. He's still a damn good rebounder, defender and dunker; he just needs to put on some muscle because he's scrawny as hell.

I saw PTI friday and it was just a passing comment about how far the dunk contest has fallen from the days when you used to get MJ, Nique, Kobe, Vince and other star players who were also great dunkers.

It wasn't really a direct shot at Moon the player as much as it was that nobody has really heard of him.

Of course this won't keep Raptor fans from being overly sensitive about this...

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.
