CB is officially out.

Caron Butler will not play tonight but is hoping to go Sunday night at Phoenix if that left hip flexor loosens up. Andray Blatche gets another start in Butler's place. The Wiz are 1-4 without Butler this season and 7-28 without him the last three seasons.

"Hopefully we'll see him before the trip is over," Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan said. "I don't know about Phoenix."

Washington 96 Denver 113

Seventeen points is probably too close. I'll say 85-111.

Hope this proves to be Blatche's national tv explosion and on the same day Jamison shows up.

That's the only way the Wizards even make this close.

You know what? Caron is out tonight. That's fine. He's hurt. But when I read "but is hoping to go Sunday night at Phoenix if that left hip flexor loosens up", I think to myself - Isn't that exactly what we heard last time Butler sat out? That he'd try to be back next game if he was feeling better? And when he DID come back (since he was feeling a bit better and thought he'd try to test it out), he hurt himself the game after.

I'm done with this formula. Sit out until you are 100%. No 70% bullcrap. No 85%. 100% and absolutely no less.

We'll sacrifice a few losses in the meantime, but we'll be MUCH better off in the long-run.

Well, it looks like we aren't going to get any calls from the refs tonight. Predictable

Day to day with a hip flexor injury. He might play in Phoenix on Sunday but I doubt it.

Looks like Carmelo is going for 50. Blatche's defense is piss poor.

AJ still MIA.

Unfortunately, we have no one on this roster healthy enough to guard Carmelo.

Butler is really the only one that can match Melo's height with his speed/athleticism.

It's a complete mismatch. Carmelo already has 11 pts!

Is Blatche seriously guarding Anthony again? Didn't he bend us over and have his way the last time we tried that? I know, our options are limited, but considering how bad it was last time, I hope we're willing to give any of the alternative a shot.

Still lingering in front of the screen ....

It's only 5:45 here, but I'm gonna be a good dad and take the kids to the movies. No need to watch this beat down til later, and that's only if they pull the unlikely and win.

My only comment so far at 5-13 is the Wizards really need to work on sets to feed the ball inside when both Blatche and Haywood are in the game.
