well work on it and let me know

You can't even say that shaq is a broken down expensive piece to buy into yet, let's see what the Suns do and if they win the championship then they easily got the better end of the trade. While the heat may have improved MORE overall in the deal, the Suns IMO improved at a smaller rate, but go from contender to near favorite after the deal which is contigent upon Shaq regaining half of what he used to be, which I think he can and will do in PHOENIX.

If you cant call a guy that has played a combine 100 games in the last 2 season (and has missed 15 of his last 19 this season), has had declining production the last 4 years running, and is 36 years old broken down, then I don

SKZZZ wrote:Well it's really over now anyway. Either way Ron Artest isn't a fixture in Sac. Whether we get anything out of it in the end is the question now. Wait until this summer and we get nothing, but hey, maybe the cap space is better than having to take on a multi-year player. Sure would suck to not knock Kenny's deal off the books however.

That's been established as the thing, yes (never know though, especially with Ron). But what I said, I was referring to getting something in value for Ron at the deadline.

The reason it was estbalished is because things changed lately :).

FWIW Bucher said tonight that the Nuggets turned down a SAC offer of Artest for kleiza/najera. Read into it what you will, but that is certainly an indicator of eithe A) Kleiza's perceived value or B) Artest's perceived value. You choose.

Yeah you know he said there is 100% no chance Shaq gets traded to PHX right? Then 2 hours later it looked like it'd happen and he had to go back and change his statement. He doesn't have the best sources in the world dude...

I don't even want Kleiza. I WANT THE GODDAMN DRAFT PICK.

The Kings must like Garcia and Salmons, otherwise I can't see them turning down an expiring contract and a young stud for a headache, albeit a defensive juggernaut.

Since when JR Smith is a young stud?...You got the young part right...BUT he is no means a stud...He is only a role player/starter at best IMO...

JR Smith is not a young stud. He still has potential to get things better and right. But so far and until then, he's been an inconsistent athletic player who needs to improve his shot selection and not get into much more trouble (if not none) and improve his maturity.

I'd never trade Ron for JR Smith, and the Kings wouldn't either.

Salmons >>>> JR Smith, for sure. And Garcia while he's had his inconsistencies (but for differing reasons), still, IMO is a better young(er) than JR Smith.

And yeah, the Kings really do like them both.

That's assuming that Ron is a headache. He hasn't really been a headache at all. We're only looking to trade him because we won't be able to re-sign him.

NY for their MLE...EXACTLY, we still have the inside track on re-signing him, ESPECIALLY with the way we're playing now.

Sure the Kings have the inside track to resigning him, we always have since we own his Bird rights...assuming HE wants to be with the team past next year (he may not). But the fact that resigning him throws the team way into the tax territory leads me to believe resigning him will be a low priority. Show me one shred of evidence to suggest that the Maloofs would be willing to pay the tax for this roster...they sure were not willing to pay it for better rosters. They may be willing to pay the tax for a championship-caliber roster. Unfortunately this roster if far from championship caliber.
