Undervalues himself? He makes the most money allowable by the National Basketball Association and makes tens of millions of dollars on product endorsements. Oh yeeaahhh. Saying his team would be nothing without him really ups his value.

I don't know, I guess I'm spoiled by Dwight, who is just as valuable a player as Lebron is, but Dwight does it with class and respect. It sucks that he's an aberation in that respect, but I couldn't be prouder that that aberation wears a Magic jersey.

Lebron's team won 50 gmes and went to the NBA Finals last year. Dwight's team struggled to get to 40 wins and got swept in the first round. Do you seriously think that Dwight is as valuable as Lebron? There is no sense in sugar coating it for anyone. The Cavs are bad without Lebron. If he goes down for the year they suddenly become the worst team in the league. They would make the Wolves and Heat look like first class organizations by comparison. So I applaud the rest of the Cavs for not getting mad when Lebron makes those remarks or demands that management gets him some help. Basically, everyone in the state of Ohio knows that Lebron means mroe to that city than Kellen Winslow, Brady Quinn, Braylon Edwards and the 2008 Indians combined. Just because he has different personality than Dwight doesn't make him a bad guy. If you are going to keep shoving cameras and microphones in their faces, I would prefer for my superstars to be honest. I would rather have my superstar be like Lebron and have a big ego than to be an accused rapist or wife beater. As for debating whether or not he is the best, name a superstar who does more with less help.

As for him being a Yankees fan, who cares? He ahs the right to root for any team he wants. just because he lives in one part of the country doesn;t mean he can't be a fan of another. how can anyone be mad at him for being a fan?

There's a difference between honesty and outright arrogance. I understand asking for help from management. And I get that Cleveland would be nothing without Lebron. But to parade around the fact that he's the best player on the team and the only way they have a chance to succeed is if he's healthy is just ridiculous.

And I absolutely think that Dwight is just as valuable to his team as Lebron is to his. If Dwight went down, God forbid, we'd be screwed beyond screwed, same as Cleveland would be if Lebron went down. I'm not comparing talent. I'm comparing maturity. I'm comparing class. And in those departments, despite Dwight being younger, he's lightyears ahead of Lebron.

The tattoo says it all. What kind of arrogant prick gets a tattoo of "Chosen 1" on himself? We can talk all day along about how great of a player he is and how valuable he is to the team, but there's a thing called humility. Beign humble goes a long way. Kobe and Lebron are the best players in the league (yes, in that order), but they are horrible ambassadors for the game. Guys like Dwight, Dwayne Wade, Steve Nash, they are the face of the game because no matter how freaking good they are, they show class.

Just because something is true doesn't mean you go screaming it to the heavens. I think your arguments are idiotic, but I don't say it because I respect your opinions. And I respect Lebron as a ballplayer. But the way he carries himself off the court is idiotic.

The thing is, you don't know any of these players ona personal level so you can;t say for sure who is classy and who isn't. I am a fan of good basketball, and therfore a fan of Lebron. If it takes for him to be arrogant, and to think that his team can't succeed without him to be the monster that he is on the court then I am all for it. I would much rather have this than to have my superstar be one of those programmed guys who always tries to say the right thing to avoid any controversey. It was this same arrogance, and thought pattern that led to him dominating Detroit in the playoffs. If he was anyone else, he may have been more inclined to try to get his teammates involved, but instead he realized that he was playing with Larry Hughes, and Sasha Pavlovic so the only way they stood a chance was for him to blow up. His arrogance is what got us one of the ebst playoff performances ever. I applaud him for that. My question for you is, why be mad? Is he stealing food off of your table?

Also, to clear this up, I always considerd Lebron to be better than Kobe because Lebron has the better record head to head, even though Kobe has had the better supporting cast. Kobe is an unbelievable scorer, but Lebron just seems to be the better player both offensively and defensively as it stands today.

That's precisely my point! Players can think whatever they want. I want Dwight to think that he is better than any player on the court. I want him to think that no one else wants that rebound as badly as he does. I want him to think that if he doesn't play his heart out, this team will crumble. But as soon as he steps off that court, I want him to be the most humble, classiest guy in front of a camera because the NBA is not about egos and one guy. It's about your team. And if your teammates don't respect you as a person, then they sure as hell are not going to respect you as a player.

It's different for us. You're right. All we know is the player. We don't know how they are behind closed doors. For all I know, Lebron could be the most humble guy in the league. But how could I know that based on what he says and does in the public eye? Based on that, he's egotistic, arrogant, and only out to get his, and players like that never win rings.

Well obviously his teammates know him better than we do, and they seem to trust him and like him a lot. Lebron isn't the first player to be overly confident out outspoken about his abilities. Look at Jordan in the late 80s or Shaq in the late 90s. Jordan was volitale enough to get into fights in trainign camp, and Shaq always showed up out of shape. Both of these situations would indicate to me that they treated teamamates with less respect than Lebron does, but between them they have 9 titles and a handful of MVP trophies. We can applaud Dwight for being a good guy all we want, but at the end of the day the Cavs are a lot closer to winning the title than we are.

Lebron the best player in the league???

Come now, someone please tell me what Lebron has accomplished in this league to earn that type of title. Top 10, yes. Number 1. No.

Yes he is good, but again Come Now, best player in the league.

To be fair, Jordan was also cocky and egotistical in his playing days but Lebron has taken it to a new level. That tattoo is ridiculous.

Playing good for the last 20 games makes him the best player in the league???

Come on, give me some solid reasons than just playing good. Hell Dwight Howard plays good, doesn't make him the best player in the league.

LeBron has done nothing comparable to what Kobe has done in this league.

Kobe is up there with Magic, Bird, Jordan, Wilt, Baylor.

Lebron is there with Wade, Carmelo, Amare, there is no comparison.

ooh forget it, this will get know where....
