That being said, the Raptors would like to sign Sammy Mejia to a one year contract for $427,163.

There's really no vetoing NBDL signings right (as long as it's not a player that another team still has rights too of course)?

There's no vetoing but all transactions must go through league office. But there definitely should be no waiting time on that. So from now on, unless there is a dispute, no approval time on signings, but they still have to go through league office.

Dallas accepts. Got no use for Strawberry whereas Ely can provide a big body and 6 fouls off the bench

The Heat and Pacers have come to agreement on a trade.

Heat trade/Pacers receive:

Jason Williams $8,937,500
Dorell Wright $2,040,746
ORL's 2008 2nd round pick

Total: $10,978,246

Pacers trade/Heat receive:

Mike Bibby $13,500,000
Marcus Vinicius $687,456

Total: $13,500,000 (Vinicius not counted due to minimum salary exception)

10,978,246 X 1.25 + 100,000 = 13,822,807.5

13,822,807.5>13,500,000

The Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers have come to an agreement on a minor deal.

Portland Trades:
Sergio Rodriguez
2008 Second Round Pick (belonging to Indiana or Phoenix, choice belonging to Indiana)
2010 Second Round Pick

Cleveland Trades:
Daniel Gibson

Trade ID #4488181

The reason for Portland to do this is to simply acquire an above-average PG who can shoot and defend next to to Brandon Roy. Sergio has shown glimpses of becoming a decent player and we wish him good luck in all his future endeavors.

Cleveland accepts because with the addition of Miller this gives us a legitimate PG who plays 34-37 minutes. Sergio is a two year deal who plays a more traditional PG and the two second round picks are useful to acquire depth seeing as I was shutout of the 08 draft and the 10 draft I traded my #1.

I'm still vetoing this crap.

Take Thornton and Mccants out...and its a much fairer deal.
Brand for Minny 1st is something I can deal with.

So taking out thorton and mccants would make the deal fair? Is there that big of a difference between mccants and thorton... i don't think so, either you're way overvaluing thorton and way undervaluing mccants.

And why is it horrible for the clippers, yes they lose out talent wise but come the summer they will get 2 high firsts and I'm pretty sure that they may have enough money to get a max money player... which i don't think you're considering.

holy crap! :o :o veto!

Ratliff's expiring <<<< Brand
McCants <<< Thornton
Buckner = Knight
LAC 2nd Rounder (likely 35-45) << 08 1st Rounder (early lottery)

why not do Brand for Ratliff + 1st + McCants?
