[quote="Rick Rolled"]From a personal E-mail to a member of the Magic website board...
[quote]On the Magic, I have been told there are three teams gunning for Udonis Haslem,
the Magic are one of them... the HEAT want a star - someone like Hedo...
or they want ending contracts - I have been told JJ Redick, Pat Garrity
and a draft pick would get a deal done.
I have also been told that if Orlando were willing to take Mark Blount in
the deal, the HEAT would waive the draft pick... but that means Orlando
has to give up almost all of its ending deals.
Its not an easy deal to make, but I think UD is exactly what Orlando is
missing.
Seems like the JJ-Garrity for Haslem is pretty fair. We'd get that security blanket for Dwight Howard up front and JJ could go to a crappy team, but he'd probably get significant minutes. At this point I think Riley could gamble and let JJ play primary backup to Dwayne Wade. Haslem would be nice, he'd be the closest thing to Horace Grant that we could get to Dwight in all likelyhood.

Yeah, he was dead on with the Marion/Shaq trade and everyone laughed that off...
He wrote that the Magic had interest in Haslem the same time he wrote the that the Heat could be shipping Shaq to Phoenix.
Hopefully we get it done.
JJ + Arroyo (to Miami)
Haslem (to Orlando)

I won't. We'll only see Foyle for this year because when Battie comes back. Our frontcourt will be the most dominant in the league. (thats if we get Haslem) I'm not gonna go get excited. Because when I do they never happen.
Play Jase or Trade for Alvarado

Is it really that crazy that the Magic would trade Pat Garrity and James Augustine (two guys that get ZERO playing time) for a key playoff guy? And for Chicago, they get expiring deals for a guy not expiring. And given how GM Smith hates draft picks, the Magic could throw a bone in a second in year-it-does-not-matter.
Hell yeah, Joe Smith would be amazing here!

Ric Bucher said that after the loss to the Lakers, the Magic are now actively talking with at least 3 teams right now for a "quality down low presence" (which i believe was his exact wording)...he made a comment that said someone (not sure if it was Stan or Otis) felt that if they had been able to grab a few more boards and have someone score from 8-12 feet out that the Magic would have run away wit that game...
so there you go...if you have espn radio you can hear it when they replay the NBA rundown, same thing with XM 141...
man, Pau Gasol is kind of like perfect for a guy like Dwight...
edit: i misspelled like 40 words in there...
