Post#1 » by HarlemHeat37 » Sat Feb 9, 2008 9:16 pm

which player has the worst shot selection in the L? could be anything..taking shots that you can't make too often..taking bad shots when you can get easier shots more often..just taking unnecessary shots at bad times..everything..who has the worst?..

Larry Hughes.

His go to shot is the step inside the 3 point line clanker.

He takes a step inside the 3 point line in case he actually makes the shot, that way it only counts for 2.

Any shot he takes is a bad shot because he cant shoot, but he still finds it necessary to jack up 20 foot bombs with 18 or more seconds on the shot clock.

Jason Williams..he brings it up the court and pulls up right away with confidence, swagger, and very good form on his jumpshot. It rarely goes in though.

He's not the worst, but Stephen Jackson's pretty high up there. I understand taking a bad shot when time's running out or two defenders have you trapped and you can't pass out of the double-team, but he chucks up bad shots at pretty much any time. When he's hot, this works fine, but I wish he'd tone it down if his first few shots don't go in. If he were just a bit more selective when having a bad shooting night, I think it'd translate into a few more Warriors wins.

crawford followed closely by hughes.

at least hughes has the awareness to let bron do the shot launching in crunch time. crawford has no sense of when to not take a contested 21 foot fadeaway jumpshot. last week i was watching new york @ portland, and crawford was something like 0/9 in the second half...and he still managed to take virtually every shot with under 2 minutes left in the game (i don't think any went in).

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

while he has his moments, kobe takes ridiculously stupid and tough shots. He makes shots harder than they have to be.

Nobody is going to say Rashard Lewis? Actually the entire Magic team all take horrible shots.

Kris Humphries easy. He'll have a couple games where he just rebounds like he's supposed to. Then he'll revert to his all star mode taking some of the most rediculous shots I've ever seen without even contemplating passing to say Chris Bosh 5 times down the court in a row. Atleast guys like Kobe, and Mcgrady are capible of hitting their hard shots.

Easily the worst shot selection I've ever seen.

LeBron doesn't have the worst, but he's the worst of anyone with a high shooting percentage. Seriously, I don't even know why he takes jumpers. He gets to the basket at will, and his shot is terrible.
