If we are talking to 3 teams , I'm assuming Miami would be one with Haslem . Who could the other 2 be ?

Philly is most likely another. I can see Otis going after Reggie Evans

There have been rumors about Big Ben going to N.Y. for Q, maybe we could get him for expirings and Battie. He's not the perfect fit next to Dwight, but it sure would be fun to watch. Haslem would be better for half the money, but I'd still take Wallace in a heartbeat.

I would guess, Miami, Indiana, Philly maybe New York, or Chicago. Top choice would be Haslem or Oneal for me.

I wouldn't. Wallace is on the decline and you think Lewis is over paid.

Seattle is another team that Orlando could be talking to. I can see Otis going after Wilcox or Thomas. Most likely we would have to take back either Watson or Ridnour. Which is fine with me.

Incoming Players

Earl Watson
6-1 PG from UCLA
8.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 6.5 apg in 27.4 minutes

Chris Wilcox
6-10 PF from Maryland
13.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.1 apg in 27.4 minutes

Outgoing Players

James Augustine
6-10 PF from Illinois
1.4 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 0.1 apg in 5.9 minutes

J.J. Redick
6-5 SG from Duke
3.6 ppg, 0.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 8.2 minutes

Pat Garrity
6-9 PF from Notre Dame
1.7 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.5 apg in 9.8 minutes

Carlos Arroyo
6-2 PG from Florida International
7.0 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.6 apg in 21.0 minutes

As a Heat fan, I have to say that UD+Blount for expirings is a good deal for both teams. But I think there's teams that would offer more for UD than just Redick, Garrity, and 1st. Namely, the Houston Rockets.

Would you guys really consider wilcox or evans a real "quality down low presence".

I wouldnt.

But im still getting excited about this, i knew it was coming.

Still cant help but wonder if we couldve had gasol.

Also i heard Dalembert is available...Twin towers?

I would consider Wilcox a quality down low presence. He can rebound, hit the occasional 15 footer and can play defense. He fits the bill. I really don't like Dalembert or his contract.

I'm thinking the three guys are Charlie Villenueva, Udonis Haslem and maybe someone like Shelden Williams.

They may not be high quality but they are quality none the less that we do not have on our team.

Those 3 are possible, but Kurt Thomas is prolly one of the 3.

So much for Otis not being to being able to make comments like this because it would hurt team morale. I don't understand why he didn't just admit this earlier.

I'd be excited if the Magic got Joe Smith, Craig Smith, Kurt Thomas or Haslem, but not Villenueva or Reggie Evans.

The other thing that's interesting is that if JJ is included with one of the expirings it puts a different spin on the whole issue of whether he can play in the NBA.

Dalembert would be good, another name that has not been mentioned is Tyrus Thomas.

Can you guys imagine if we get Haslem or Wilcox before the deadline.

Sign Maggette or Childress with the MLE.

Try and sign someone for the minimum maybe Kurt Thomas, Kwame, Doleac, Ratliff?

Get Fran and Battie back.

And make a run at Jason Kidd one year later.

CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

I dont think it would be a JJ for UD trade bec miami already has Wade and Daquean Cook at SG. Would probably be something like Pat Garrity, Dooling and the pick.

Return to Orlando Magic
