Thaddeous Young

Post#1 » by NYKnick87 » Sun Feb 10, 2008 2:45 am

He has been putting up solid numbers after being put into the starting lineup the past few games. I'm impressed every time I watch him play - he's super athletic and long, is a smart player, and has a decent handle and shot for someone his size. He's only 19 and figures to have a lot of room for improvement. For those who have seen him play, what are your thoughts?

As his name suggests, Thaddeus has many years ahead of him.

There's only one guy in the league younger than him.

Josh Smith/Danny Granger/Iggy/Rudy Gay type player.

I like his game.

Maybe I haven't seen enough of him yet, but Thad Young has done little to distinguish himself from the loads of other young talented wings in the league past or present.

i ripped into his before he even played one NBA game but one thing he has going for him over other young players is that he puts his athleticism to work with the cerebral part of the game. He really puts it all together for his age.

I believe the Raptors were looking hard to get him in the draft; young athletic swingman we need to develop with our young core. Though It think this was before they realized Marco Belinelli was Italian and set their full eyes on him.

A young player that plays good d. Thats hard to find. In addition to him being a smart player for his age most likely he will be a good player in the future. After 4 seasons in the league Thad will be about the age of most seniors coming out. So he has plenty of time to improve his game.

I believe they were looking hard at Julian Wright too.

I like Thad Young. He's a project right now, but his upside is pretty tremendous.

The question is how strong can he get? If he can fill out nicely while maintaining his speed and athleticism he could be a very good player in the league.
