Finally this is brought up and realized it's a need for you guys... I do not like your playoff situation too much with basically just Dwight as the rebounder and defender. As good as he is, that's too much to ask and just not enough. Foyle's role is too small.
I guess Battie won't be back in time.
Hopefully you guys get somebody who is decent.

The Playoffs don't care about your Analytics

Thanks for the update.....
Starting to get excited now.[/quote What worries me, is they have to wait this late to" realize" they need to get help in that frontline, It has to be Stan forcing the issue, IMO, if it will be up to Otis we won't do a thing.. He sounds like a broken record, " I like this team" LMFAO!!!.

Here's 2 of my dream trades. http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=4489106
Reggie Evans and Andre Miller for Jameer, Garrity, Arroyo, JJ and possibly a pick or 2.
We get a distributing PG and an aggressive rebounder.

Udonis Haslem and Jason Williams(said he would like to sign with us in the offseason) for Garrity, Arroyo, Dooling, JJ, and probably a pick or 2.
Again, kills both birds with one stone. You get a distributing PG and a quality PF. This also works with Blount instead of Jason Williams, but then we would have to keep Arroyo or Dooling and throwing in Bogans would work.

I really think that the way trades have gone this season, we could be sending Pat Garrity and a discount ticket to Disney World and get JO...
I'd love the idea of having JO. I've always seen him as a very good player, yet not an All-Star, so he will fit perfectly complementing Dwight. Besides, wouldn't this be interesting?
PG. Nelson vs. Rondo vs. Fisher vs. Nash
SG. Evans vs. Allen vs. Kobe vs. Bell
SF. Lewis vs. Pierce vs. Odom vs. Hill
PF. O'Neal vs. Garnett vs. Gasol vs. Amare
C. Dwight vs. Perkins vs. Bynum vs. Shaq
6th. Hedo vs. Posey vs. Radman? vs. Barbosa
Imagine the playoffs... WOW!
I know you are exaggerating, but JO's contract is at $19 million-$20 million. You're going to have to send out more than Garrity's $3.8 million contract and Disney tickets. Disney has raised the prices a lot -- but not THAT much.
Besides, I find it hilarious that Bucher reports that the Magic started looking for help after they lost to the Lakers. They have been looking around longer than that. They just haven't been talking about it. I told you guys that the Magic weren't sitting on their hands. I still don't necessarily believe that they WILL make a deal. I think the deal has to make sense if they make it. They just need to not make a deal for some stiff. If they can't get a decent player who has the potential to help them for the long term, don't make a deal just to make a deal.

Silly, lovehoops.
If Otis didn't put an ad in the paper letting us know that he would like to improve the team, then it's clearly because he was 100% satisfied that this was a Championship team, and has only just now realized that we could use another big man.

You obviously don't know a thing about how GMs operate -- or just are using this as another excuse to rip Otis. They mostly all go around saying that ****.

I can't blame Otis for Pau, to me it clearly reeks of West trying to help his old team. Isn't it weird how for so long they demand deng and/or Gordon from the bulls yet take this?
Anyways in order for us to have any chance vs Detroit or Boston we have to have a guy capable of making a mid range J and grabbing boards...Joe Smith, Kurt Thomas, Nick Collison, Udanis Haslem amongst others would be sweet.
I would stay away from Reggie Evans, he's basically like Foyle minus shot blocking and better rebounding.

aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Trade ID #4487367
Augustine
Redick
Garrity
Arroyo
Battie
for
O'neal
In reality, this long term is Redick and Battie for O'neal. In principal, GM Smith would think long and hard at such an offer. The above trade only leaves the Magic with one expiring in Evans. And he wil likely be resigned. So, the coming offseason would be about using a MLE and Bogans as part of an attempt to upgrade the SG slot, and the use of vet mins to fill out the, what would be, now empty bench.

Shame on you. You forgot the Ninja.
Doesn't J.O. have an opt-out in his contract after this season, by the way? If so, you could deal for him, and then this summer he could leave for Miami, where I am pretty sure that he already has a residence.

Sign Maggette or Childress with the MLE.
Try and sign someone for the minimum maybe Kurt Thomas, Kwame, Doleac, Ratliff?
Get Fran and Battie back.
And make a run at Jason Kidd one year later.
CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
All for the low introductory price of 1 billion dollars in salary anually.
