He has never recorded 20/10 in his career, how do you expect him to get 20/10 in Milwaukee?

Milwaukee misses more shots than Phoenix?

He won't have that selfish Marion taking 10 per game away from him.

Seriously, I'm not excited by Amare on the Bucks. He plays 6-7 minutes a game less than Bogut and I hate the thought of extra minutes for our crappy bench. He's much better as a weakside help defender, he gets worn down if he has to man-up a big body; I see a future with AS at the 4 and Voskuhl taking the Howards, Duncans and Yaos and that does not thrill me. His own team doesn't think he can handle post defence in the playoffs. So we're getting improved scoring efficiency in the post while he's on the floor (5 more points a game?) while giving up any post defence, any short-term improvement via the draft and needing to use our bench more.

I never understood where this idea that Amare will be All-NBA came from either. He's great to watch on the fastest team in the league but he's been exposed by the other elite bigs (esp. Duncan) too many times to be considered best of anything.

He was All-NBA first team last season. He is one of the elite players in the game even if his defense does leave something to be desired.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about this rumored trade. A part of me thinks giving up Bogut and a lotto pick is too much for Stoudamire. Another part of me realizes Bogut will probably never be as good as Stoudamire and the lotto pick the Bucks will probably never be as good as Stoudamire so the Bucks would clearly be getting the best player in the trade.

However, if the Bucks were to pursue Stoudamire I'd like to do so with the idea of pairing him with Bogut so that Stoudamire can play PF - which is the position he longs to play and finally will play now that Phoenix has Shaq. So instead of trading Bogut I'd be more inclined to offer up Yi, the lotto pick and filler for Stoudamire. If the Suns flop in the playoffs this season maybe they'd be interested in a deal like that.
Nothing will not break me.

I agree with most, I would rather have traded Yi than Bogut

I would too but I doubt they go for that. They would want a big body like Bogut to guard the likes of Duncan.

I wonder if they would revisit the trade and take Yi instead of Bogut, now that they have Shaq?

It would help out them financially

Because hes on the Suns and playing with Nash.
You see this above average guy who shoots 47.5% along with 3.5 TO without Nash, then you got a superstar who shoots 58% 2.2 TO with Nash.
One thing's for sure, with or without Nash, hes a terrible post defender.

Again, I doubt this rumor to be true, but even if it was, I wouldnt do it if Bogut was involved. Not to mention they want a 1st? heh, wonder why they accquired Shaq after this "deal" failed thru...Because Amare isnt getting Suns anywhere, they would never go pass Spurs if Amare is their post defender.

Enough said, Bogut is only one of handful guys who got their career high against Amare.

Yawn

Look at his numbers when Nash is out for games each year, they were 25/12 last yr without

And 47%? You do realize that was his 2nd NBA season, the same season where he had yet developed a solid jumper to use with his unbelievable moves to the basket.
Now he has an unbelievable jumper, 47% eFG, which is probably the best from a big man aside from Dirk and Amare shoots his outside jumper A LOT.

i have followed AS since his rookie year and if you think all his success is all because of Nash then you are underestimating what he can do.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
