Anyone telling you Harris isn't good enough or we need Kidd?

The numbers:

Devin takes 217 out of a total of 373 FGA as layups. That's 57% of his shot attempts in layups. That doesn't count the times he drives and kicks to open players on the perimeter for an assist or missed wide open jumper, also his dishes to cutting players for the dunk assist. His jumpshot (his FGAverage minus layups, so 3 pointers are included) is at 40%, I'd say he has at least a decent outside shot now. Anyone not valuing Harris on this team is nuts. The thing about it is, he's improving as the season goes along too. I think we're beyond needing another top tier, aging PG in Dallas. This one is just beginning, the other is ending.

We could do with a top tier C or SG however and that would suit me just fine. In order to do that I want to get rid of JET or Stack or both because they are the ones that can't get out of Avery's favor for minutes, while other decent contributors beg for their scraps.

unless you can get me Dwight Howard or Yao to start at C without giving up Dirk, i'm not highly interested in trying to upgrade there...

this team needs a SG

There are about 2-3 people claiming to be Mav fans on realgm that would still trade Harris for Kidd (ss_maverick, Ateam, mmreg). I think everyone else already knows that is a stupid move.

It's the non-mav fans that need to recognize. That's why the wording on my sig is staying there until after the trade deadline.

Devin's the key to this team in my eyes, I really don't want to see him leave. I'd actually be willing to part with Howard probably before Harris, just for the key fact that we struggle a lot worse without Devin than Josh, and Harris can play in the fourth quarter.

Love Artest's talent
Hate Artest's being a head case

Just say no to Artest
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Nobody freaked out, exactly, but the assembled media still badgered the Dallas owner with the same questions he's faced regarding his level of interest in Kidd. And if the stumbling block remains Cuban's refusal to part with Harris -- which by all accounts is the Nets' price for taking such a trade -- that block will remain as obdurate on Feb. 21 as it is today.

One reason: Cuban loves Harris, and that isn't going to change.

"He can be a top-five point guard," he said of his fourth-year leader, who sat out the Nets-Mavs game with a bone bruise in his ankle. "I don't think there's any question he has that potential. We track every number known to man, and he's tracking on that path right now."

I actually fell to the trade rumors the day when Harris to Portland was rumored. I was feeling bad that day. I feel better now! :D
