he don't cares about the all-star game, he is better than that and wants to focus on his team, he is obviously a much better player than ballhog iverson, everyone knows that.

First of all, I'd like to say that T-Mac doesn't deserve to be an All-Star this season, not only because of stats, but because he has been injured for most of the season so far. Deron Williams would be ahead of him if someone was to be injured and David Stern needed to pick an All-Star replacement. Second, a Rockets fan's perspective of this is positive. The Rockets are gaining ground in the West, what a better feeling to know that one of your top players on your team that is injury prone gets 4 day rest and then they can maybe continue to win. I wish it was the same for Yao because I really don't think the All-Star game means anything. Personally, when I look at a player's achievements, I look for All-NBA team, Championship, MVP, Finals MVP, etc. The All-Star game is fan based and also coaches based. At least all the other things are well deserved. I'm glad to see T-Mac is not playing as he could get injured and he also has more time to heal, especially from that horrendous flu he had earlier in the week.

I love TMac, but there are several guys more deserving then him, including Baron Davis who was the single biggest snub this year. It's absolutly rediculous that Baron didn't get voted in.

It's not that... it's more so how his delusional fans think otherwise.

yeah, i know it's hard to assume that tmac playing at 50% is allstar and better than almost all the SG's of the league.

If China was a major factor in making him an all-star for the past few years, he would have easily become a starting all-star this year as well.

As it turned out, China's vote didn't have much of an impact.

There's only one reason why Tmac didn't want to go to the All-Star game and that reason is because the All-Star game is being held in New Orleans. I can guarantee you Tmac will never go to the city of New Orleans. I can guarantee you Tmac will never go to the city of New Orleans. He could be the all time leading vote getter, with a million fans outside of his house demanding he goes to the all star game and he still wouldn't go to New Orleans. Stern could guarantee Tmac that he would get out of the first round this year and he still wouldn't go to New Orleans. I know for a fact that he's gotten into some trouble with some people in New Orleans. That's why he complained last year when it was announced the All-Star game would be held in New Orleans.

The vote was rigged by Stern, but I bet it was Tmac who told him to rig it.

Simple answer.

Not voted in by Fans.
Not deserving, this year, of a reserve invite by coaches.

Two points to be made:

1) Tmac hasn't played at ASG level so he doesn't deserve to be in it (although it is never about "deserving", it is always about popularity)

2) Chinese fans do not dictate the outcome of ASG voting. People can put that argument to rest once for all.

How is Tmac not having an all-star year? It is mediocre for Tmac and he has missed some games... but he is still one of the premier players in the league.

Brandon Roy:
19.7ppg / 4.6rbs / 5.8asts
Team record: 22-28

Tmac:
21.7ppg / 5.0rbs / 5.4asts
Team record: 30-20

Most fans should know an injury-plagued McGrady can still play better than most players (in this case, Roy), but he has just missed too many games this year. Early in the season, he was leading the league in ppg with a very good record, but then his injuries started. I wouldn't think it would be fair if he made the team this year. I just think it's ridiculous that a lot of people think he's no longer a star in this league.
