Free Throws.. He is an average free throw shooter shooting with both hands last year.. The thing is with all the extra time Oden has there is no reason he cannot turn himself into a 85-90% Free Throw shooter.. Free throws is all about repetition and muscle memory.. I think he can definitely get to at least 80-85 % if he were to work on it 1 hour a day during his rehab.
He would be so tough to cover in the future because he will get to the line and make free throws, making defenders less aggressive..

Bending of legs and lift is another important part of shooting. Until he's in good shape he should take it easy. If it doesn't feel natural to bend his legs he might learn bad habit and shot flatly. I agree though that free-throw shooting is one of the first things he should be able to work on. I'd like to see him develop a hook shot as well.

Im pretty sure he's good to bend his legs enough to shoot some free throws. Did you see his rehab video where he was doing like 9 million pounds on the leg press?
