Also, gotta love how Van Gundy thinks the Celtics still need a "starting level" pg for the playoffs. Alright coach, since you know so much about the playoffs from all those first round exits.
Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy (Knicks have as much talent...W. T. F.) don't know their heads from their @$$3$. That was the most irresponsible commentary (on multiple levels) I've ever heard. Ignorance to the point of self-parody. At least Mark Jackson was trying to call them on their garbage throughout the night.
Great job and win (and a nice birdie to the rest of the doubters). It's obvious some of these announcers don't know jack about our guys and just go off the general consensus from 3 months ago (Barkley, Breen, Gundy, and Kornheiser).

I like Kornheiser actually.

I like Kornheiser as well, but that man should not be an announcer on MNF. He doesn't know a damn thing about football and just embarrasses himself with him lame jokes.
Yeah I agree with that. I love his radio show. I think he's best there, even better than on PTI.
EDIT:
To be fair I think even he agrees with that.

We've been playing well without the MVP of the league. The experience that guys like Davis, Powe and Rondo are getting will prove invaluable going forward.
Exactly that's why I'm saying we have such a bright future. Because when we get injuries we have guys like BBD, Powe and Rondo to step up and show what they are made of. I've said it before and I'll say it again our youth movement is underrated.

In fairness, I think Van Gundy meant the Knicks had as much talent as the Celtics team on the floor at the current time, which was PP and the bench (Posey, Davis, House, T. Allen). That was probably pretty close to true.

No, we won because Davis played phenominal defense against Duncan.
THat he did but duncan still put up 22 and 14 both above his average its not like baby completly shut him down, he shot 50% from the field, I love baby and he did a really good job but lets not get carried away, without pierce we didnt have a shot tonight

Kevin Garnett >>> Tony Parker and Devin Harris. It doesn't take anything away from it.
I don't completely agree. I think both of those guys are exactly the tyype who take advantage of our lack of shotblocking at the rim when KG and Perk are out
On the commentators, I love JVG (yeah he is way off about Rondo, but everything else he said was spot on). Breen on the other hand drives me nuts with his unrelentless positivity-everybody is just great with him, enough with the used car sales man act already.

I'm not getting carried away with it. By playing phenominal defense, I mean not letting Duncan get much more than his season averages. Have someone else who is barely 6'7 defend Duncan and he drops 40.

I agree Davis and Powe did good jobs on Duncan, but Duncan still got his.
Pierce made Bowen look like a rookie....to the point where Bowen wasn't even on the floor in the 4th quarter.
While Davis and Powe did admirable jobs on Duncan, Paul Pierce absolutely dominated Bowen and whoever the Spurs threw at him.
