TRADE TO NJN

Post#1 » by thepritz » Mon Feb 11, 2008 4:00 am

Dont know if NJN would consider this but they seem to have several big bodies...

Orlando gets:

Josh Boone
6-10 PF from Connecticut

Darrell Armstrong
6-1 PG from Fayetteville State

New Jersey gets:

J.J. Redick
6-5 SG from Duke

Future Pick

Don't see why NJ would do this unless that pick is a first. Even then, I think both teams might pass on that deal.

nyj has about 6 expirings this year, plus that fact that kidd still could get moved.. i think redick would help their shooting tremendously, not to mention the future pick, and yes most likely a first. boone can defend and score enough. especially to help us this season.. and besides, redick is just getting 2m a year to collect dust, i dont care how much otis/svg like him, hes not getting used, hes not happy, he needs to be shipped.

armstrong has no meaning here, and that will give us 4-pg, boone is young and solid, but i dont think he is worth a 1st round pick at the moment..its very tempting but i would have to tweak it a bit..

boone would be nice...

we do have a lot of guards but i love darrell and we need to bring him back at some point

so we send arroyo (expring and insurance til end of year for kidd) and redick

maybe we're giving up too much there but this can be made to work i bet...i do like this idea alot

Armstrong is just a filler to make the salaries match, he would most likely be cut. And why do you think we can get more for JJ? what has he done?

Supposedly everything that's been asked of him.

Remember Battie is coming back and you dont want to pay too heavy of a price if you really want Hedo and Shard starting at the same time unless you move Lewis to shooting guard, which would be insanely interesting .
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.
