Dunk the damn ball, Moon!

This is not a thread to complain about Moon's lack of demeanour to drive, or his lack of moves. This is not to complain about his jump shot, or lack thereof. This is about Moon putting the ball in the cup, with the highest possible efficiency.

Too often Moon decides to double-pump-double-clutch-behind-the-back-over-the-head-reverse-high-off-the-glass layup.

I'm not talking about difficult dunks, I'm talking about the ones he can easily just throwdown with two-hands. I mean to me, Parker has a fierce knack when it comes to simply putting 2 points up on the scoreboard. Where as when Jamario jumps next to the rim, you're kindof unsure about what's going to happen.

What's wrong? Is Moon afraid? Is he trying to do too much?

My solution: Dunk the damn ball, Moon!

i dont care how he does it as long as he makes the basket.

one thing i noticed about moon is that he tries so hard to grab a rebound and messes up the play sometimes. he should let his teammates help him

I guess it sounds like I'm ranting about HOW he makes his buckets. But I'm more so pointing out how he MISSES his buckets. A lot of the times he has the lane for an easy two, but a trigger seems to go off in his head where he feels he has to avoid all contact necessary. It's just been something that has irritated me, watching him as of late.

I'm pretty sure he's just afraid of really hard contact, because he does seem to change his shot up a lot for a guy who's supposed to be a dunker...

Because he's a pretty skinny guy, I'm sure he would go flying if someone gave him a hard foul in midair... Maybe he remembers that hard foul by Swift earlier this year....

hey take it easy on the rook! However, He does need to throw it down more often and get that MOJO for blocking back that he had at the begining of the season where he was proving himself. Where did the passion go??? at least he doesnt rim out like Delfinos dunk on fri night!!!
Either way he is getting no love from the NBA or other contestants in the Sprite Dunk Contest! i hope he blows away the competition

Dunking is not overrated... its what gets you on Sportscenter, makes you famous, and eventually gets you numerous All-Star starts voted in by fans...

Seriously though, we need some dunkers on this team just to spice things up and wake up the team every once in a while....Moon needs to throw down a big one every game...

He doesnt even need to dunk it.. JUST FREAKIN DRIVE, get to the rim, get contact, get in the paint, get to the line!!!! UGH.

His jumper is well below average for a starting NBA SF, so defenders can always play off him, making it much harder to drive (and therefore dunk). His handles are also well below average for a starting NBA SF, making it even harder for him to drive.
I love his defensive game, but offensively he does not have the ability to consistently get to the rim. At the moment, alley-oops and wide open lanes to the basket make up about 90% of his dunks and drawn fouls in the lane, and I don't see this changing anytime soon, unless he can seriously improve his jumper and his handles.

In the first play, and at the 2:55 mark, that's what I'm hoping to see a lot more of from Moon. I have a feeling that Ford would make much more use of Moon than Calderon and wouldn't mind Delfino starting at SF. Calderon is much better at setting up shooters, which Moon isn't. Ford is much better at finding cutters, which Moon is good at doing.

I never really thought of contract. Makes sense. He is so skinny and wirey, it wouldnt take much to give him a serious injury.
I like the way he is playing. He is aggressive, and when open will take it. You really cant ask for much more from a rookie who was never drafted. He seems to have grasped his role. Let Chris fill the bucket, give the ball to Forderon, hit shots when your given the chance.
I hope he stays healthy, even after watching him the whole season, he is still very much a pleasant surprise.
Imagine when we get a SF, and we have a Moon type coming off the bench.
