It is lottery protected.

still can't be traded because that puts the heat in the situation of owing two consecutive firsts.

ya, and without the pick there is no way that trade makes sense.

Maybe SAC should demand Miami's 2010 and 2012 picks + DQ Cook instead of the 08 pick which cant be traded

just saying.

I know in previous games that you could trade consecutive first round draft picks, is that still in affect?
-Also you would need to put in a stipulation in case miami some how finds a way to get out of the lottery

You still can't do that trade though, it is simply not possible to trade a pick you have already traded, even if there is a protection on it which is likely to be met.

As in, Miami can't trade their 08 pick until draft day

Exactly. If my Dalembert was killed then this deal should be killed as well. My pick was more than lottery protected it was top 23 protected.

The Trail Blazers felt the need to get rid of Darius Miles quickly so they can have more flexibility, although Ricky Davis and Smush Parker were acquired, the Oregonian quotes the Portland GM saying: "This trade was an absolute must for us, not only do we get rid of Darius Miles and his whopper of a contract, we can offer the expiring deals of Ricky Davis and Smush Parker to many teams around the league for some decent parts to fit into our puzzle"

That being said, Portland wishes the best of luck to the 3 departed Trail Blazers and the Miami Heat for their renewed and now improved chances at an attempt at making a run in the Eastern Conference.

The Oregonian quotes Head Coach Nate McMillan: "Wow, a lineup of two O'neals, Wade, Bibby, and now our former super subs, I'm glad we're in another conference, thats fore sure."

Calls to the Miami Heat GM were not immediately returned.
Heat accept.

Guys, the trade works. I said SAC only gets the pick if it's 4-14. If it's top 3, I keep the pick. If it's 15-30 (which won't happen), then Minny gets the pick.

In the last GM a Team game, we bypassed that rule.

Portland Trades:
Sergio Rodriguez
2008 Second Round Pick (belonging to Indiana or Phoenix, choice belonging to Indiana)
2010 Second Round Pick

Cleveland Trades:
Daniel Gibson

Trade ID #4488181

The reason for Portland to do this is to simply acquire an above-average PG who can shoot and defend next to to Brandon Roy. Sergio has shown glimpses of becoming a decent player and we wish him good luck in all his future endeavors.

Ok new way of dealing with vetos. NO ONE is to post anything about anyone else's trades. This is getting ridiculous. If you wish to veto a trade please send an email to Bryant or myself and we will put up a post showing the deal and asking people to vote to veto or not. The rule is it takes 3 votes to veto or not and the issue is dead. If it gets vetoed, sorry but the trade doesn't go through, if it get put through everyone must accept that as well. NOTE: The veto system is meant to keep things on a level playing field, not to try to get everyone to follow your thought pattern. Veto only deals that are completely unreasonable. If you don't like a trade, but the value is close enough don't veto it. This game is about fun, not being childishly competitive.

Will my deal w/ the Kings go through? No one's arguing the value, but they're just arguing if it would work.

I believe we're doing it like last time, where we can trade consecutive picks, correct? And I made it clear in my trade post that the Kings would only get the pick if it was 4-14, so it doesn't interfere with Minny's right to get the pick if it's not in the lotto. So, it can go through, correct?

Agreed, I also think a Mod like loserX should be included just to be a mediator, because he himself isnt in the game.

If your trade has not been approved (and has not been vetoed) please post where it is. It is impossible to find which trades have and have not been approved with all the extra posts in here. I don't have the time right not to go searching through it all. So to help me out please find your trades and either repost them, or post telling me which page they are on. From now on this shouldn't be a problem.
Also for new players trades must stay on the board for 18 hours until they can be approved.
