And since 510Reggae wants to get all technical with the starting PF thing, here's a list of official starting PFs (given by ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/depth) better than Al:
KG
Gerald Wallace
Josh Smith
Dirk
Rasheed
Odom
West
Rashard
Amare
LaMarcus
Duncan
Bosh
Boozer
Jamison
Do yourself a favor and check the starting lineups. All these players START at PF.

OK, maybe you haven't been paying attention to the NBA or something, but these players start at PF:
Duncan (Oberto at C)
Bosh (Bargs at C)
Amare (Shaq at C)

Yet they guard C and are guarded by Cs...
NBA Live 2008 Rosters FTW!
Like Bargnani guards C... like Oberto does too... Oh leevii, you slay me with your blind attachment to a half-assed 'article'...
To be fair, only 3 on that list I even have a problem with... Amare (who played only @ C when the debate started), Duncan, and Bosh (obv. reasons). Hell even Rasho will spend more time guarding PFs than Bosh... especially when these teams fall into zone...
I'm probably getting too analytical for you about now... go to 82games.com and see where these people play... when pressed for a response, they said they based %s on who was guarding the player and who that player guarded...

Sugarcoat it however you want... if you guard a C and that C guards you, call yourself a PF if you want, you aren't... Duncan/Stoudamire/Bosh are prime examples of this...
BTW I really have to love the lists that include Amare, Gasol and Marion all in the same one... if Amare and Gasol are listed as PFs (via trade after the initial ignorant statement), Marion shouldnt...
IrealGM PC board logic
Instead of calling people dense and questioning their reading comprehension, maybe you should make up your mind first. First, you say Al is a top 10 STARTING PF, then you discount STARTING PFs like Duncan, Stoudamire, Bosh because they play a little C.

BTW, the initial argument that Al was easily in the bottom half of starting PFs.
So you take 3 away from that list and you have 11... leave them in, still 14, Al's 15... rpa makes a thread trying to skew the vote obv... and the sheeple just get in line.
Pity most people don't even understand the argument before they dive into it

No... see what rpa did was completely manipulate you into his corner... its hilarious. He presented a list on our board... I whittled off the names on his list, down to 9. He left out several key players (mainly, Gerald Wallace and LaMarcus Aldridge)... then he runs to the PC board and tells everyone that people are claiming Al's a top 10 PF...
Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
And the sheeple follow suit

EDIT: Apparently not Aldridge... list is somewhere... compare it to the 11/14 above...

Do yourself a favour and look at Harrington's while you're there.
44% of minutes played at PF.
Wow

I dont think you are joking... I think you really just completely swung and missed at the point.
rpa said something misinformed... I simply and succinctly corrected him for it... and now I'm splitting hairs...
My abs are rock solid from the laughing I've done from this whole premise... Please, stubborn and agenda-filled PC board visitors - give me more!

I take the term Starting PF at face value since that is the criteria you are using to justify Al being a top 10 in anything. It is pathetic that you have to discount traditional PFs that even start at PF and tweak the definition of a starting PF so Al can be accommodated into your top 10 list. Why does it even matter anyway. Everyone knows Al is not a good enough player to belong to any top 10 lists. When your name is interchangeable with someone as mediocre as Gooden/Haslem, then you know you have no business being anywhere but middle of the pack (at best).

510Reggae wrote::rofl: Are you still believing that anyone said Al Harrington is a top 10 PF? Much less, a top 10 starting PF?
I am sleepy. Give me a break. None of your posts established a coherent argument or take any concrete stance. I only read this thread and I don't know what rpa has been up to. Why do you have to "tweak" any garbage list given by rpa or defend Al anyway.

Thats the point... read the thread, you're awfully chatty and giving me an earful and you don't even know why...
A W's fan said it earlier... we believe Al is middle of the pack... especially when you add the stigma "Starting PF" to that.
If you've read the thread its pretty simple, amidst all the other people who'd rather agree with the blatantly obvious..

Rasheed Wallace is NOT the Pistons starting PF, BSPN is WRONG!! Rasheed in fact plays less than 5% of PF minutes. Antonio McDyess is the starting PF, but he moves over to C when Maxiell or Amir enter the game. Rasheed might gaurd the better post player, but he's in fact, the starting center.
And for what it's worth, Antonio McDyess is a better player than Harrington.
