Question about the Nets Future . . .
I was tryin to come up with a trade involving the Mavericks , Nets and a third team involving Jason Kidd when I ran into a stumbling block . . .. I cant figure out what route exactly the Nets are trying to take . . . . are they still trying to win now . . . because I thought of deals that would get them either Andre Miller or Mike Bibby . . . . or are they trying to rebuild . You can make the case for both . . because if they wanted to win now , they wouldnt be trading Kidd , on the other hand , if they were trying to rebuild who on the roster besides Sean Williams , who doesnt appear really to be a franchise player , are they rebulding around ? . . . . so since I dont really follow the Nets could someone from the board let me know what they think the pulse of the team isindicating fdor the future ?

I think they're fudging it. They're purposefully not moving entirely in one direction or the other because of the move to Brooklyn.
I think they're going to try and win now without adding a lot of salaries for the next two or so years while they are still in NJ and Kidd is with the team, but after that I wouldn't be surprised to see them rebuild around the young players they have right now, who will have matured quite a bit by then.
