Growth of Tony Allen
Toward the end of the game, Manu Ginobli tried to draw a foul as he shot a desperation three pointer and Allen got out of the way. Remember the 1st Detroit game when Chauncey Billups threw a pump fake that Allen bit for? That was definitely a good sign today. Players always need to know how to defend in the last minute of a game, and not go for cheap pump fakes.

Funny thing was Allen clearly grabbed his arm but since Ginobili tried to sell it so hard he didn't get the call, thats Karma for you.

the thing is, tony is still coming along on the slow side, but ive been impressed with the flashes, and i can see his confidence is growing as well. i dont think hell be too far off from where he was because of the injury. im sure he lost a bit even when hes fully healthy, maybe not much, but he looks like he thinks the game better and is getting smarter
(its been a long time since i posted, so busy watching pats and just plain happy with Cs, hope everyone on the board has been well)

It's not really "growth" but just getting in a groove. If you play tennis for example and are going against a new player with a big serve - you will probably have trouble in the first set. But often you can start to time it and start smacking shots back at him..
You didn't really get better - it's the same for TA. He made a mistake on the Billups move - but in fairness that was a bad spot for him. He never had a chance to get in the game earlier and get in a groove..
