I think the comment about Calderon "managing" a game is pretty accurate. There is nothing wrong with a PG who manages the game, it's just a bit different than a PG who takes over and can control a game (Nash, CP, Kidd, etc.)


It's like in football when you have a solid QB that can manage the game, he'll complete the 5-10 yard passes consistently, won't turn the ball over, won't make dumb mistakes, etc. But, when the running game goes South, and you need some big plays, he might not be your guy. Nothing wrong with that guy, but sometimes you need a guy like Brady or Favre that can take over the game when the rest of the team is struggling.

Arenas is an idiot. He thinks just like all the coaches and NBA outsiders who only look at ppg and highlights. You know who the last player to average 15 and 11 with %s of 50/50/90 was? That would be the MVP in 2005, Steve Nash, that's who.

And he thought RJ shoulda been an all-star? Someone please slap Gil. I bet he was fine with Joe Johnson too who shoots 40% on a losing team and isn't even the best player on his own team. Seriously Gil, just stick to playing.

half of the guys in the league are racist (Bonzi Wells, coach Ishiah), but I do not think Gilbert is. He seems like a nice guy. But he might be jealous of Jose, because he is this young European player that came from nothing to something in less than the time it took him to develop.
