Who has the best footwork in the league? Names that immediately come to mind for me are:

TD
Kobe
KG
Andrew Bynum

Bynum?

Anyway, the best imo are:

Perimeter: Kobe, TMac, Allen, Pierce (in that order)

Interior: KG, Duncan, Kaman

Hey man, I knew you'd like me throwing Bynum in there.

Agreed on your list though.

Let me ask you something, what would your list be for all time Jordan23Forever? I don't know much about the guys before 84. I know Jordan is way up there. I know Hakeem is way up there. Who else?

KAJ has to be up there. Possibly the best footwork ever. Bird too.

All-time, the guys with the best footwork I've seen were Jordan, Bird (believe it), and Hakeem. I'd also throw Adrian Dantley in there. Lots of guys in the 80's/90's had good footwork (it was much more a point of emphasis due in their collegiate programs), but those were the best I've seen.

Jordan gets a lot of points from me because he invented/popularized many footwork moves. It was just so instinctual with him, and he had the fundamental base to make it work.

Shaq's footwork has been severely underrated his entire career.

I love watching Al Jefferson on the block. My list is something like:

1. Kobe - No question. His pivoting on the block and perimeter is just awesome. Add onto that near perfect defensive positioning, lateral movement.
2. Melo/Pierce - Both are great anywhere on the floor with their pivoting, spin moves.
3. Al Jefferson - Controversial!!!! Not really, Jefferson is awesome.
4. Duncan - Defense. 'Nuff said.
5. Ginobili - I stand by this pick. Ginobili's footwork is inhumane. He's a worm.

Kobe Bryant has the best footwork his footwork makes Tim Duncan look like Dwyane Wade.

Don't know how I forgot about him. I'd put him right below Kobe in terms of perimeter players. Certain aspects of Melo's footwork are better than Kobe's, but Kobe has a larger repertoire.

I agree with the Al Jefferson nomination. For a guy so young I can't believe his footwork and post game is already at this level. Though Duncan is still on top of this list. They don't call him Mr. Fundamental for nothing.

if al jefferson can use his footwork for defense I guess he can be considered top3 leaguewide but so far I think only his footwork on offense is enough to make it into top3

Oh yeah good point. He's steadily improving in this area though.
