Could Nenad be the most valuable player with a 4 ppg average? haha. Even if he scores 6-8 ppg i just feel like he a stabilizing factor for the team for SOME reason. is he the glue? I never appreciated his D either till the last 2 games. Boone and Sean are naturally power forwards which makes it difficult for them to guard and rebound with the opposing centers all the time. It makes it easier throwing a true center at the other team. Make that a true center that can extend the D like Nenad can and it makes the game a LOT easier.

I'm liking the prospect of a Nenad and Sean Williams tandem whether they start together or not. Nenad to body someone up and be steady and sean being the complementing shot blocking leaper.

Also, one of my criticisms of Kidd are that he's become a passive playmaker. Again, I'll say all year long he's liked to linger on the perimeter and thread needles. If thats becomes a game plan it only helps the opposing defense.

But last night against the Mavs he probed and pressured the D. Thats the difference it makes when he gets in the paint. Not only does it keep ure offense moving, it breaks down the D and Kidd has pulled back in that aspect so far this year..until last night. coincidence that it was against his desired team? whatever.

Nenad is the Nets's x-factor.
The Nets have one of if not the best backcourt in the league and Nenad is just that low post piece it needed.
His RPG are totally back to normal and his PPG will def' come back when he gets his shoot back but most importantly he's D has been AMAZING since he came back, opposing bigs used to humilate Sean and Josh well Nenad has apparently worked on his low post D and is owning every big in the lane.

I agree with most of your post, but just IMO, Kidd is operating in the modified Princeton Frank has installed. The PG is supposed to pull the strings from the top of the key, instead of driving the lane all the time or posting up form the elows. I just don't think it's playing to Kidd's strengths as a big PG who does his damage once the defense collapses. It's why Vince has changed somewhat, as well.

The Princeton was supposed to bring out the best in our youngsters, but so far, only RJ has benefited from it. Sean and Josh are just naturally growing into good NBA players, not directly attributed to the system.

i agree. Nenad is naturally stronger in the post even though he might not be in the weight room. Boone and especially Sean gets burned by post guys because they have to lean too hard against them. Then all the guy has to do is use their own weight to slide them away. Nenad can avoid getting backed down in a much more balanced way which makes him harder to get rid of.

Also, considering our performance yesterday, would that make us more likely or less likely to pull these big trades? We've finally shown we can play well together. Whether it was a one night thing or not it has to make management question the wisdom of blowing it up.

remember there was an article back in like november saying how krstic gained something like 30 lbs of muscle so i think theres no doubt that's helping him all around in his game. hold his ground, fighting for rebounds and when he's more comfortable he should be able to score in the post easier than in the past

Starting him so quickly could turn out to be a smart move by Frank. I see the risk, but with this season's events on and off the court, what's left to lose?

I was ecstatic when I saw one of his jumpers go in. Getting to the line definitely helped him. A little more repetition in shooting practice will definitely help him.
