I guess i am wrong. I guess rebounding hasnt costs us games.....i guess the Raps are good rebounders and we dominate the paint....no we dont need any bangers on this team.....thats why half the posts on this board are "we need rebounding" or give me Ron Artest or Chris Kaman or Jeff Foster, Marcus Camby etc....

Raptors can rebound since they are the 10th best rebounding team. However, IMO, the problem is that they lose focus on some of the most important rebounds during the game. Just like it happened yesterday, ... down by three, Manu shoots, misses, and runs down and grabs his own rebound 20 feet away from the rim.

Failing to grab key rebounds plays a large role in costing us winnable games.

I agree the Raps seem to always miss the key rebound, thats what always comes back to haunt them.

Was that 3 a strategic decision by the Spurs? I noticed that there were about 9 seconds left on the shot clock when Manu hoisted that shot up. In addition, he was at least 5 feet away from the 3-pt line.

Do you think Pop told them to take a long 3 because the Raps have difficulty with long rebounds?

He took it because the Raps played great D and the shot clock was about to go off.

What about Seattle ? 13-37 being the "rebounding champion" ...

Rebounding is just one of the many aspects of the game, but not a master one ...

More rebounds doesn't automatically mean "win"; and you can't pretend to out-rebound your opponent in every game of the season.

Well thanks to some people on this board, this turned from a discussion about how the Raptors are a good overall team, good attitude and a good fit for the city to rebounding issues. Oh well, thanks to the OP for a great first post and no thanks to some who people can't figure that their arguments are completely false even with every statistic telling them that it is...

Just to clarify, Steve Francis didn't want to play for the Grizzlies because they already had Mike Bibby and he refused to play shooting guard against the likes of Kobe Bryant, Steve Smith and then brutish All-Star Michael Finley.
