Howard is questionable for the game according to yahoo. He apparently injured his back.

If this Blazer team has proven anything at all this season, it has the ability to surprise. While it's easy to say that Portland will get blown out, I don't think a win's out of the question. Remember, this isn't the same dallas team that had the best record in the NBA last season, they've struggled this season (especially lately) and aren't as tough as they have been in the past. I'm predicting a win by a Roy layup at the end.

Key for the Blazers to win.
*Trade & get a scorer.

Maybe Dirk will kick some more things in the hallway & hurt his foot.

Yeah this could be a hard game to watch. At this point in the season most teams have the blazers pretty well scouted out. Roy is pretty much getting the others teams best defender +1 whenever he tries to drive. The only others blazers who are willing to attack are LA,Outlaw and Jack who are pretty erratic.

i think the Blazers are the most predictable team in the league.
Nate doesnt make enough adjustments.
it's simple. other teams stop roy and force our other players to step up.
unfortunately, we apparently have some weaklings on our team that dont step up when we need them to ( Frye, Sergio, Jack, Pryzbilla and sometimes LA)

Agreed. Even before teams started double teaming Roy, I was thinking that the Blazers could be stopped if our opponents were able to contain Roy. Roy is really the only big threat on the Blazers to take over a game and since other teams have figured that out, the other players have proven that they cannot step up even with Roy getting them WIDE OPEN shots all day. There aren't really any players besides Roy that know how to take over in a game and it's really hurting this team's chances for success since the Blazers are often playing 1 on 5 basketball so to speak.

If Aldridge keeps chucking 19 foot bricks and wasting possessions, no way will Portland beat Dallas. Go Blazers though!

We randomly win this game by 9. That's the Blazers for you.

I predict an early 25 point lead before coasting to a 17 point win. McRoberts scores 7 in garbage minutes and hits a 3.

The Mavs have played very poorly since Harris got injured.

The Blazers have good chance to get a win.

I think the Blazers matchup well with the Mavs. Mavs are certainly the favorite but Blazers are capable of playing a good game against the Mavs.

It looks like the Kidd deal is pretty much official. Kidd and Malik Allen for Harris, Stackhouse, Diop, Ager and 2 #1 picks. In a second deal Antoine Wright will go to Dallas for a 2nd round pick.

They are going to be pretty shorthanded tonight when we face them. Let's hope they come out flat as well due to the shock of the trade.

I wouldn't be surprised if both NJ and Dallas agreed to delay formalizing the trade so they could both have full rosters tonight for the game, and then adjust to new rosters over the all-star break.

Portland may get the 'farewell' performances from several mavericks tonight...stackhouse could score 40 and Diop could grab 17 rebounds and block 7 shots. Oh...and George will hit 5 three point baskets.

I really doubt it. For one, an injury to a key component could destroy the trade. Secondly most of these guys will have checked out by then. Is Diop, George or Stackhouse really going to want to play for a team knowing that they're not there tomorrow?
