No one uses it to make fun of him. The truth is most people don't go around lobbying for any of our point guards to be the main guy. We recognize that they all have their issues and the Magic's best bet if they can play to their individual strengths. You know, I could really care less whether our starting point guard is Martian, white, black, Puerto Rican. But I do object to posts that come from posters who either make it clear from their posts or their board names that they are of Hispanic heritage and go around calling a player in competition with their guy a piece of crap and saying that that guy should start because there is a large Puerto Rican community in Central Florida. There's a lot of people of a lot of heritages in Central Florida.

I didn't even bother reading that FCAT thread. It's got nothing to do with basketball.

And I didn't say that YOU said Carlos should start because he's from PR. But pretty much anyone who has been posting on this board can tell you that there have been posts on this board that have said Arroyo has to be the guy because the Magic can't afford to lose the ticket sales if he isn't. And this isn't the only place where that has been posted. I'm not even sure that's a true statement, or why if they were Magic fans that they would stop coming if Carlos didn't start or didn't play here.

I said you called Jameer a piece of crap. I personally don't think any of those things are productive. I think we are better off talking about basketball, but if you've been reading my posts for any length of time, you'd know that I'm not sitting here and letting anyone take a personal shot at one of the players -- at their basketball, if it's justified, OK. But not a personal shot.

agreed. i said the jameer thing out of frustration, i apologize, but you should take a look at that FCAT thread just so that you can see where im coming from. and arroyo isnt going to make more people come winning is. even though he does help us get good pub in other countries like spain and of coarse PR. there are alot of Magic fans in PR who have fallen in love with our TEAM because of him.

I'm puerto rican..and I dislike Arroyo..and love Jameer. Jameer is a mediocre pg..he's not great..but he's not bad either. 21 pts 4 rebs 4 assist is good in my book. Of course his assist could've been up but he wasn't like hogging. Just nobody could've stopped him driving to the rim.

And to the Miller/Evans trade..if philly doesnt want Jameer..I'm ok with keeping him. Jameer would be a GREAT back-up PG.

I say we combine a few of these trades

Orlando gives up: Augustine, Evans, Bogans, Dooling, Garrity, Arroyo, 2008 first round pick, and cash

Orlando gets: Andre Miller, Mike Miller, and one of the Memphis point guards

Philadelphia gives up: Andre Miller

Philadelphia gets: Arroyo, Garrity, and Augustine

Memphis gives up: Mike Miller and one of their point guards

Memphis gets: Evans, Bogans, Dooling, Orlando's 2008 first rounder, and cash

Philadelphia and Memphis get the cap relief they seek, Orlando wins the championship (with one more trade for a great backup big man).

Jameer is a 5'11 point guard and Larry is a 6'5 shooting guard. Is he supposed to stop him from scoring. Its like asking Larry Hughes to guard Dwight Howard. Just stupid. Arroyo all game would have given up 75 to larry.

It was just joke. I don't have any deep hatred for anyone, especially people I don't know personally, unlike some on this board.
