Not until our beloved C's win they wont stop to question the team and the Big Three.. They're just envy!

celts depth

Post#22 » by sox839 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 11:04 am

This team is fine. We lack some height but players height wise are smaller. Also Doc is letting pollard rest that ankle because he needs him ready for the second half of the season. Pollard brings defense and will dothe dirty work. Perk will be ak soon and then we will be set at center with perk and pollard. Doc has done an excellent job as coach this year they are 6-2 without garnett which is impressive. We could use a true backup point I say sign randy livingston. Cassell will mess up chemistry he will want to shoot to much.

The only thing I was remarking on was what I thought was my favorite messageboard trend, height nazism. You know the old "he's not 6'8, he's actually 6'8 and 1/4 cm." Often spouted by people who like to scour others posts for minor statistical inaccuracies and grammar mistakes, and take utter glee in correcting them.

1.5 inches actually matters, though.
1.5 inches is not a half inch, or a quarter inch.

So perhaps you, the Height-Nazism Nazi, should just pipe down?

The C's still have a depth problem, at backup center and PG, and they need a bigger lug who can backup Perk. And this is a three-year window with the current roster, your delusional if you think otherwise.

Some of you guys act like if an NBA writer doesn't act like the C's are a shoo-in for the 2008 NBA title, then he's committing some brazen act of outright disrespect.

The Patriots did not look invulnerable despite their undefeated season. They had weaknesses. The loss of Sammy Morris and the lack of a tough running game, the reliance on a passing game and an aging defense that couldn't always finish plays or make the tackle did actually come back to haunt them.

The Celtics may be the best team right now but the playoffs is a different season and some of their weaknesses that may not seem like much now will be exposed. It is fair game to write about them.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

how many wins have we put up without KG and perk ?

who cares what people think. people hate NE cause we have ruled the NFL, won two recent MLB champs and now the celtics are the best in the league right now.

how many cities would love to say that ? its jealousy and I dont pay much attention to the cry babies and jelous people.

when you win ALOT, people hate you. nuff said.

My issue is if it were the Knicks, 76ers, or Bulls who traded for Garnett and were 40-9 and 16-0 against the west. The same writers who are nitpicking the Celtics and pointing out anything negative. Would be telling us the Knicks, 76ers, or Bulls were the greatest thing since sliced bread.

this is very true!!!
