Ohhhh Canada!!!!!
Anyway this is a high risk high reward game.
A win will give this team some nice *** momentum before the all star break and get the Rap trolls to damage control/decided to remain silent.
On the other hand a loss will kill our winning streak, get Rap trolls to come here and troll the living hell out of this board and give us a negetive momentum going into the all star break.

BOONE!!!! We need a nickname for JB.
I'm still half-hoping, half-expecting, these new looks Nets are for real. For the past 3 seasons we've had poor 1st half seasons, and gone on nice 2nd half runs.
Since we aren't getting a high lottery pick, maybe we'll even go as far as the 5th or 6th seed again, and get to the 2nd round. Too bad that's as far as it'll get... Still wouldn't be a bad season.
Looking far ahead, I expect Magic and Cavs to be 3rd 4th seed. Either team would make a nice playoff matchup.

We match well with the Cavs............not so much with the Magic, even though with Nenad all bets are off

playoff and payroll considerations.
The Nets are being greedy. Kidd won't be traded without receiving enough talent to make the playoffs, plus salary relief. And plus picks, if it can be managed.
Of course, Kidd is greedy too, getting his money and wanting a shot at a championship too.

Sad, sad day for Nets fans...
On the bright side you get back a good young player in Harris.

Yeah, well Devin and Jefferson is a good start, those picks would help too, but I wouldn't rely on Mejia on those exact details.
Question now is, what to do with V.C? You guys are clearly in rebuild now, does V.C fit the plans? Does he even want to stay there now with Kidd gone? I wouldn't be surprised if he asks out as well.
And the Nets are significantly worse right now, they're void of all leadership and mental toughness that Kidd brought. He was the heart and soul of that club.
But I agree in that you guys got good value for Kidd. But you can't tell you guys aren't sad about seeing him leave...

I would doubt that VC asks out. He really seems comfortable in NJ.
What Free Agents are available next year ? or the following year ?
How much below the cap will NJ be to make a run at some Free Agents ?
Bynum = Future Olowokandi

IMO VC likes NJ, other than perhaps the NJ/NY media attention. He gets to be in the spotlight, hang with NYC area celebs, and not be under as much fan and local pressure to win as in some sport towns. The Nets aren't championship contenders, but he's not as much a win-first guy, like Kidd is, which probably annoyed Kidd.
