Would Trading for E. Curry be good for this team?

Given that he's on the block would a combination of E. Curry and Daly be interesting? I know he's a dog but he is a true center with some ability.

Curry is in the same boat as Randolph. Neither are hard workers, but possess good talent.

Curry would probably be a better risk, because his only problem is that he doesn't work hard. Randolph is more likely to cause some drama in the locker room than Curry.

If we were to trade for Curry, NY would have to give us picks/cash also.

If Curry had lived up to 1/4 of his potential? Then hell yes. But at this point No.

I guess I can't say that though... I'd have to see what we were offering for him. If we were giving up next to nothing I'd say go for it just to throw a big body next to Dalembert and hope that someone on this team could whip his lard-ass into shape and get him working.

Maybe if you just made him a role player. Just grab rebounds and play good D!! I'm just intrigue by him coming here!! Maybe he would be a revelation!

The Sixers are investing in rock solid low-maintenance players who work hard. Curry does not fit that description.

He may be incapable of that.

However if you just get him to play the post, and keep him paired up with a defensive minded SF and PF, his flaws may not show as much.

Curry needs to be on a team that can get him working and straighten him out. He's soft and lazy but has good size and excellent offensive skills.

I don't think he fits the Sixers. Maybe a team with a strong willed coach or a strong-willed franchise player.

I would take a chance on him though, considering how far the Sixers' staff has brough Samuel Dalembert. I remember a few seasons ago, Sixers fans were willing to trade Samuel Dalembert for him.

You're right on about a coach/player that could get him to work though.

Curry would get abused by the fans here...I can already hear the boos. He's a lazy player, not something that Philadelphia fans take too kindly to. Yes, he has low post skills and we need that, no doubt about it. Problem is, with his frame he should be much tougher on D and rebounding, but the reality is he just puts no effort in on that side of the court. No interest in taking him on with 3.5 years left @ 10 mil +/yr.

Thats the thing, COT he's never been a rebounder or a good defender. He's been good for 20/10. At least Randolph TRIES on the defensive end. At least, if you have the right supporting cast around Randolph, you'll win basketball games. (Those Knicks don't suck when you have Randolph/Lee/Robinson together in there.)
