Good

Cuban gives away his depth for someone who wanted the nets to pay him $24million next season.

The WC playoffs are going to be like a battle of Bloods and Crips.

I hope both teams sign off on this deal.

Is Kidd better than Harris by a Diop/George/pick(s) combo?
I think not.

Well if Stack is bought out, I would want us to make a serious run at him. Stuckey, Afflalo and Hayes have been good for us, but I definitely Stack more then I trust those three in the playoffs.

I'm sure NJ would rather trade Stack rather than buying him out.

Doesn't he still have a house in Michigan?

Stack does not bring to the table what he used too. That is why Cuban is doing this deal.

Joe D trusts the people you appear to be nervous over.

NJ has to be thrilled. They get a good young PG for their old, unhappy one, not to mention expirings and prolly a pick. Not bad.

I'm gonna laugh at all these WC teams if San Antonio just cruises past them to the Finals again. i personally think they are deceiving, Popvich is resting guys like Horry and Bowen to save em for the playoffs, and having them taking it easy. next thing you know, bam bowen's shutting down kobe and horry's draining game winners again.

The Nets owner is trying to figure out how to speed this along before Cuban wakes up.

The only reason they overpaid for VC is because they are moving into a new building and 'thought' stars was the way to improve attendance.

In this economy families are not going to pay big $ to see RJ, VC and Kidd do the one and done thing in the playoffs any longer.

Who's on crack now Cuban?

If Stackhouse is going to be bought out, you can believe there is already an agreement that he's going back to Dallas. If we want Stack here, we would have to trade for him. We have the expirings to get it done. Stack is tough as hell, and I'd love to have him here as a back-up.

Holy ****. Giving Harris away for J. Kidd is as dumb as it gets. Sorry, but he tore us an ahole, and Kidd, well cbill does really well against him.

This trade makes zero sense. I mean NJ does it in a heartbeat, and laughs all the way to middle-age with Harris.

Dallas just made thier window really, really small.

WFAN reports that Jason Kidd has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks, although the Nets and Mavs have yet to publicly confirm the deal.
The proposed trade has Dallas sending point guard Devin Harris, swingman Jerry Stackhouse, center DeSegana Diop, Devean George and another player (Mo Ager?) to New Jersey for Kidd and guard Darrell Armstrong. We're still awaiting confirmation, but it sounds like Kidd's run in New Jersey is over. If Harris is going to the Nets, Marcus Williams will continue to be nothing more than a backup. Why was Diop included - Dallas already has size issues. And NJ has Krstic, Magloire, Boone and Sean Williams already so there was no need there.

Ager could be cut - he's somebody we should look at over Murray as well.

"Devin Harris, swingman Jerry Stackhouse, center DeSegana Diop, Devean George and another player (Mo Ager?) to New Jersey for Kidd and guard Darrell Armstrong."

Okay, I didnt know it was all these players. I know Dallas is desperate because they finally see what everyone else knew for years(They just cant win a title the way they were built) but you dont throw the baby out with the bathwater!

Holy **** is this deal poor as hell. I mean if Kidd was 28yo still, this deal would be questionable. As it stands it reeks of desperation, and fear of having a repeat of last years demolition at the hands of the Warriors.

It's like Cuban isnt thinking about certain teams, and how they will exploit Kidds age, and lack of athletisism, and only focusing on beating a few teams. Oh well, gotta do something, right?

Pretty much. I was convinced a Dallas Kidd deal wouldnt happen because I didnt think the Mavs brass would be stupid enough to give up Harris. Thorn and Kiki really pulled off a solid deal here.

I guess he didn't see what Sheed did to his front court with Diop playing.
Can't wait to see TD put up a 40-16 on Damp who will be in foul trouble in the 1st half.

I have to believe Dallas is going to make another trade to acquire Curry or something. What happens when Dampier goes down (and we all know he will).

NJ has to cut their own players before accepting the trade right? Then they can buy out Stack and cut Ager whatever, but they can't cut the Dallas players in transit? Or can they?
