This will be a fun game to watch. We're either going to lose, blow them out, or squeak out a win. I hope it's scrappy enough that Powe ends up killing someone. I hope it's Nate Robinson.

That's really narrowing it down.

I think the Celtics are going to have their hands full with the Knicks. Scala is going to look anorexic tonight next to Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph. Thus they will use their fatness effectively against him. Hopefully we run them off the court to counteract their fatness.

Hey man, I come from the John Madden school of sports analyses, and thats good stuff.

Well I was going to leave some speculation out, but now after looking at my notes from covering all the bases 101, I'm gonna throw in the fact we might get blown out.

It's hard to gage the game cuz it's the last one before Allstar break. Hopefully the Knicks are looking forward to break more then the c's cuz, they pretty much have nothing to do with it.

Both Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph are going to have their tongues dragging on the ground.

The Celtics are going to run, run, run, run & run. Up tempo game tonight. At least Tommy Heinsohn will be very happy.

i, for one am kind of nervous about this game

laugh all you want about the "formidable" front court

but against our small lineup they could really exploit the obvious mismatches

hopefully, i'm overestimating Isiah and the Knicks

You are.

Basketball is the last thing on the Knicks mind a game before the all-star break. I wouldn't be surprised if half on them left before the game was over.

Gawd the Knicks suck. A bunch of underachieving, out of shape, pathetic pussies. Losers on AND off the court. They lose and they don't seem to care. Apathetic pathetic ass.

I am so glad I don't have to root for any players like that, Blount2.0 was bad enough, a team full of that type, ugh. Money aside, I'm not even sure I'd swap Curry for Powe. That's how much I dislike their fat center. If you could take Powe's personality and attitude and mix it with Curry's body you'd have one of the most dominant big men in the league. What a waste...

I don't agree with this.

1) Whatever is left of the Knicks, it still wants revenge from the disgusting loss two games ago.

2) We are thin up front, and even Eddy Curry knows it might be a feast inside for them tonight.

3) Many players on the Knicks roster have been rumoured to be on the block. Some of them might actually want to be traded. Expect an extra effort from them against the team with the best record in the league.

I'm not saying it's a lock that the Knicks will win this. This can be a blowout either way. (Yeah, I said it.)

Randolph, Richardson, and Curry might blow out their shorts if they bend over. That's the first thing that came to mind when I read that.

Sometimes I entertain the notion of picking up Curry if he gets bought out, just to see what Perk, KG, and Clifford Ray might force him to do. He doesn't strike me as a morose jerk ala Blount...more of a guy with a piss-poor self-esteem that needs some guidance from quality vets.

That being said, he has the worst physique I've ever seen in an NBA player as of right now. Who knows where he'll be by next season.

Curry has the talent. He just has no drive, no desire, no pride and no one to keep him away from the dinner table.

SuperDeluxe,

I agree this one should be scary but the Knicks are all talk. It takes effort to win, something the Knicks lack.

This is not a great matchup for the C's w/o Perk and KG. That said, it is VERY important to go into the break on an upswing and hold serve against Detroit. The second half of the season looks much tougher than the first and if KG is not back the initial West Coast trip after the AS Break could be brutal. Let's keep piling up the W's against the Weaker Sisters of the Cheesburger Guild.

Before we get started, is it just me or is Renaldo Balkman a glorified Justin Reed? I think it was a byproduct of everyone ridiculing Thomas for picking him where he did, then realizing he wasn't THAT terrible a player. Still, you almost never hear people say they would've been better off with Rondo, Williams, Farmar, etc. (from what I've seen, anyway)

He's not a steal based on who they could have had by any means, but he's made out to be...

I really don't want to have a loss to the Knicks on the Celtics' record this season.

That said, I'm feeling bad juju about this one. Of course the arrogant overconfidence throughout this thread is probably the root of that.

Hope the C's come to play.

We'll come to play, Pierce hasn't let us down all season and there's no way he will tonight. We'll win because we don't want to lose to the knicks, but expect a close game (6-12 point win)
Does anyone actually believe that either Mike Brown or Doc Rivers have done any coaching during the series, or in their undistinguished careers?

This could be a tough game as we have very little size to combat Curry and Randolph.

If Pierce and Ray aren't on we're in trouble.
