Jason Kidd Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by jzmagik » Wed Feb 13, 2008 9:14 pm

The man took us to the finals 2x years in a row with one of the worst supporting casts in nba history. He single-handedly turned around our franchise and made us relevant.

I know some people are pissed at how things came to an end with his tenure here, but let's not ignore what he's done for NJ and our Nets. So long Kidd, you'll always be a Net.

Made me a big NBA fan. (I used to be a casual, MJ bandwagon fan)

Add another poster to the JKidd is my favorite NBA player of all-time list.

Guess I'll have to be a 'Mavs' fan during this year's playoffs.

Absolutely, thanks for everything kidd, from a diehard who went to games years before you were here. You changed the view of the nets, and made us contenders year in and out. However, things got a bit ugly and it was time to go, and I can not wait till I see number 5 in the rafters. Was wishing number 100 td came with us, but thanks for the memories. The Captain JJJJJJAAAAASSSSSSSSOOOOON KIDDDDDDDDDDD

Kidd thanks for all the great passes and great highlights. Thanks for the trips to the Finals.

I followed you here when you were traded here from Pheonix. I will not be following you this time. Good Luck!!!

You used to be a Suns fan?

Anyway, yes im a little sour that Kidd wanted out but i respect everything he has done for this team. I will miss watching number 5 and i wish he could of achieved his 100 triple double as a Net. I hope he doesn't win a ring. Maybe i am jealous, or maybe he just left a bad taste in my mouth with the wanting out. But i do respect what he has done for us. (Am i contradicting myself???)

Words can't describe how I feel about Kidd and all he has brought to this franchise over the years he's been here. I think I speak for everyone when I say Jason, go get the championship you deserve.

The captain has left the team, i'm stunned, even if it was in the air the whole time.
Hope he gets his ring, if we don't meet him again in the Finals, that is...;)

Yeah buddy.

Kidd
Penny
Marion
Rogers
Uncle Cliffy

That was the squad. I used to watch Nets game because they were the local team. It was a simple transition. I hate the Knicks so I didnt watch their games.

 he won't win a championship in dallas.

But anyways, Jkidd was a beast for the Nets...they were ontop of the league for a few years in the eary part of the decade.

If Kidd's actually gone...

Thanks for the run, Jason. I'll never forget his first few seasons on the team with K-Mart, KK, KVH, Big Todd, RJ. There's never been a more exciting basketball team than those New Jersey Net squads.

I'll be pulling for Dallas this year... no animosity towards Kidd if this deal goes down. Devin Harris actually is a decent player - and that's all we can really ask for at this point.
