Really? Has your brother make a 360 spin move against Shaq? Did he go above the rim for alley dunk? Has he been an intimidator at the NBA level? Has he even played against anybody bigger than 5 feet?

well, he definitely has a better shot than I do since I'm 7 years older than Kobe.

I think the point was that at the rate of development Andrew will continue his stellar improvement and is ahead of Al's nice learning curve. Al may very well get better too, but right now in the same situation as Al, Andrew would post similarly awesome numbers and in that case Andrew is younger, will have a longer career (barring injury weirdness), and he is bigger and stronger.

Love Al, rather have Drew.

If you are saying he will have a longer career because he's 3 years younger, then thas one of the funniest things I'veever read on here. They both came directly out of high school.

It wasn't a Wolves poster who made this thread. And no we didn't blow up. Andrew Bynum cannot be a number one option to score, Al can.

It remains yet to be seen, my young and naive friend. ;-) Anyway, care to notice that we ALREADY have an established first option (some guy called Kobe, you know), and now also great 2nd option in Pau, so no matter how you put it and spin it, Bynum's shotblocking and extremely efficient scoring (leads the league in FG%!), ideal for 3rd option, is more valuable for us even now?

I already linked to it in the game thread, but whatever.

And yet Bynum is only about 1 year behind Al in his development. Can you do a simple math?

Oh Reverend, I must admit your logic and ability to make comparisons are truly astounding. If you follow the same path in theology, St. Augustine, Albertus Magnus and Ratzinger combined should feel really threatened!

Al has improved also, not only Bynum.

Al is a career 12.5/7.9/0.8/0.6steal/1.1block player.

This season: 21.3/12.1/1.3/1.0steals/1.4blocks

Al is a better post player with better footwork, Andrew is a defensive anchor and shot blocker.

Let's just agree that both teams wouldn't trade Al-Drew for each other and have a nice day.

NO, NEVER

Al Jefferson is the only valuable inside player they have. They are a garbage team, a team of green rookies and young boys. It

That's why - after watching progress of both - I said Al is like 1 year ahead of Bynum in player's development.

Al is a better post player with better footwork, Andrew is a defensive anchor and shot blocker.

OK, but Bynum can improve his scoring fairly easily (imagine him learning skyhooks from Kareem, what's already being mentioned!), while it's not very probable Jefferson will ever become Andrew's caliber defensive anchor and shotblocker (not enough wingspan, for starters).

Let's just agree that both teams wouldn't trade Al-Drew for each other and have a nice day.

OK, but I expect to revisit this issue in a year or two and then you're gonna have hard time in Minny explaining why you still prefer Al over Bynum. ;-)

In short: Lakers don't need Al Jefferson more than they need Andrew Bynum.

I love Al's post up game, he has a variety of different shots.

But I love Drew's game, especially his passing, blocking, and big intimidation on defense.
