So my education got attacked. I can see how that relates to the OP in anyway.
Fact of the matter is if the lakers did offer what they did for KG then we picked Al Jefferson over Bynum, and that is the end of story. Who knows, if Bynum gets better this could be a nice rivalry. But I think about a month ago the portland fans were claiming LMA>AL and 2 years ago Frye=KG and I am more than sure certain laker posters thought Brown was worth Butler. Fans cheer for their own players.

Everybody is taking everything so literally... if you're reading something and you know what someone is trying to say, take it in context... pointing out a sentence that's worded funny doesn't make your opinion more justified.
I will say though, if you're asking me which player would I rather have as a franchise centerpiece for the future I take Bynum everytime. I think probably 90% of serious basketball fans would pick Bynum too. I was watching Al Jefferson play a few years ago in boston and I told my bro he's going to be an allstar and he thought I was dead wrong. But sure enough he developed after being too heavy and injured for a season. So I'm well aware of Al's progression and his game, but Bynum is just a completely different type of animal.
Bynum's presence on both ends of the floor is eventually going to trump big Al's. Offensively Bynum's post game has rapidly improved just from October to January; by next season Bynum will probably be an 18 and 11 type guy and he would've produced even more if we didn't just add Gasol. Defensively Bynum is already better than Al; he protects the rim and he's shown he can slow down guys like Howard, Amare, and Kaman.
Bynum was averaging 16.4pts, 10.8 rebs, and 2.4 blocks the month before he got hurt. His confidence is sky high and if he didn't get hurt he probably would've closed out the season averaging 16pts, 11 boards, and 2.5 blocks which is very similar to what Al Jefferson did last year on a losing team.
There's no doubt that Al Jefferson is a great player and I admit it's not crazy to pick Al over Bynum, but when you weigh in the future I think you have to go with Bynum 99 out of 100 times. Bynum just has flashes of greatness and shows a great evolving combination of size, skill, power, and finesse in the post.

I think there is no logical thinking in ur masters thesis
oh, you read it? Do you agree that it is proper for the west to approach the filioque in the same apophatic austerity of the Cappadocians, or what is your approach? Do you think there is enough openness language in the filioque, as a pneumatological expression of the creed, to interpret the Augustinian model in a way that can allow a viable option for the Eastern and Western view of the Trinity. A common pneumatological model that can be understood as both Catholic and Orthodox in its meaning?
I assume you do not read academic theological journals, but I like how you would make a ludicrous statement about systematic theology having no logic. Have you written a masters thesis? Have you past High school? Have you passed out of high school? Or did you drop out of high school/

Good post WWJBD I like Bynum. Next to Al he would have been the piece I would like to build on. He has great size, athletic skills and a defensive presence. But I am simply not convinced he could be the cornerstone to build on. At times he looks lathergic, Coach Jackson said he improved because of money. I have doubts that he could be the number 1 option on a good team. I think having Kobe will help Bynum be an all-star, but I do not consider bynum someone that has proven he can be built around in the same way I feel Al has. Bynum has looked much better and the company line is that his potential is amazing. But potential simply means he has not done it yet. He could, he probably will, but he has not yet. He still needs to recover from his knee injury and do more than 13/10 before he is considered a building stone, But he is still one of the top young bigs in the league.

Shooting 50% from the field is definitely not acceptable for a big man, that is a horrendous percentage.

for a back to the basket bigman? hovering around 50% is not acceptable except for a player that leads teams to top 5 picks. its good when compared with zach randolph though.

I'm sure you are extremely credible with your sudden playing subtle theologist with feelings hurt by bad Lakers fans, while at the same time on your own board claiming things like that LA inhabitants have herpes - what is rather harsher than anything you've heard here. What a subtlety! Out of sheer curiosity: are herpes part of your masters thesis, or are you saving them for doctorate as a special bonus?
Edit: another quote of yours about us, RealGM Laker fans:
"The Bynum ball suckers are getting annoying."

Jesuitian hypocrisy, right?
But I hope you'll stick to your promise:

coach jackson also came back to coach the player he called uncoachable at one point...................he just uses these statements to further motivate players. pete newell stated that bynum has shown the most improvement out of any player EVER to go through his big man camp. high praise for someone who's helped develop lots of nba players.

don't forget the 2.1 bpg and these stats come with only 29mpg
but i can totally understand how twolves fans would stick up for al. he's a great player. it'll be fun to compare the two players 5 years from now

Bynum is a dominant type of player, he presence on the floor alone make other players afraid to attack the paint. He is only 20 and looks like a cross of Shaq and Duncan w/ better free throws, he will dominate the NBA it a couple of years. His potential is scary considering how he dominates other centers now at only 20 years old.
Al Jeff is a Elton Brand type of player, he is good, but not good enough to be considered a dominant type of player.
I would take my chances with Bynum.
