I've never seen anyone that hot from the outside. I don't think he hit the rim in the 2nd half and all he was doing was shooting deep jumpers.
Yeah, Ginobili had a career game but that being said the reason we lost was because we played like crap closing out the early quarters. We continually gave our lead away (with the help of the refs) and therefore didn't get a chance to create space when we were clearly outplaying them.

Cavs paid for being so willy nilly with the lead. They would get up 9 or 10 points, then get sloppy and have it erased in a couple minutes. There was no reason not to be up at least 6 at the half and they ended up only leading by 1.
Gooden started strong on the boards and then disappeared. Z was owned again in a matchup against a premier big. 6 FGAs and 4 TOs. Horrible ratio. He had some great oops to Lebron, but he has to at least make Duncan work defensively and he didn't.
I don't like to bitch about refs, but the Cavs and Spurs basically shot the same amount of 3s, yet SA went to the line almost twice as often. SA would have had more 3 attempts if the Cavs weren't forced to start gunning late. There were some typical Duncan moments. Where he'd hack Lebron at one end and then get to the line at the other end on less contact. Those represent 4 or 5 point swings that become absolutely huge in close contests.
Manu just had a fluke 4th quarter. You can't really do anything when a guy is hitting 25 footers like free throws and every time you run him off the 3 point line, he just throws it to Bowen who also hits everything he shoots. Manu is an awesome player, but that is a once in a lifetime quarter he had tonight in the 4th.
My only gripe would be that Lebron didn't guard him. He is long enough to alter Manu's shot from deep and quick enough to stay with him on the dribble. You don' wan to wear Lebron out on defense by making him guard Manu all game, but in the last 5 minutes he needs to grab the beset perimeter player.

I cant blame a thing on Z tonight. When he wasnt being handcuffed by the refs he did phenomally on Duncan. Wasnt Tim like 2 of 7 at one point with Z on him? Then all of a sudden the refs decided to start giving him every call and make up whatever else they could for him and poof we lose Z.
Nothing we could do to stop Manu, definately hats off to him, but in all honesty it should have never got to that point. We should have had an easy double digit lead by half time and then extended it in the third if we would have got even a portion of the ticky tack fouls the Spurs were getting. The first game in quite a while where I was actually shocked how different the two teams were being treated.
Oh well. Time for a few days break from the Cavs.

I can't even stand to watch a game involving the Spurs b/c I end up wanting to smash my head through the TV everytime I see Ginobli flail around like he was ejected from a vehicle in a horrific car accident every time he brushes by anyone, Popovich's crater face, Timmy and Tony and Bowen whining about every call like they don't get the benefit of the FREAKIN DOUBT ON EVERY CALL ANYWAYS, and Parker flingin his body into everybody and getting the call. I love it.
