I remember a game where the raps were a bucket from 100 pts. the shot clock was dead and the raps were dribbling out the game. fans start booing even though their team has a win.

When teams dribble out the clock instead of running up the score, thats considered classy. Fans booing cuz they don't get a $3 slice of pizza... not so sure about that

wow. just wow. Who gives a damn about "class" or what the other team thinks about you. The fans are paying your salary. Without them there would be no team, period. Throw up a shot and give them their pizza.

I can't believe how uptight some people are. It blows my mind.

wtf's your problem? that post was in a response to one suggesting that Toronto fans are classy. the poster gave an instance in which their actions could be qualified as "classless". it's called a discussion. stfu

Toronto fans are great fans but booing vince carter and tmac, and booing when they dont get pizza is just ridiculous. Have some class. :wavefinger:

Meh, I think Vince definitly deserved to be booed his first year or 2 back here with the way he tanked his last few years in Toronto. Does he still deserve to get booed? Probably not. But I think people now associate going to a Nets game with the fun of being able to boo Carter, I don't think people are still booing him out of anger, it's just fun to do something with the crowd in unison, and I think that it has, to some degree, thrown Vince off when he's played in Toronto how much he's booed.

P.S. Irrelevant, but for some reason I feel bad for Maceo Baston and his lack of minutes. Not that he should get minutes, but you could tell looking at Joey G's and Maceo's expressions that they're a little bit down just languising on the bench the whole year, and I feel a bit bad for them.

Yeah, I remember when Baston said he wanted to be the "glue" guy of this team. I still think he can contribute, but right now he is behind Rasho and Kris Humphries on the depth chart.

It's simple, everyone and thier mother knows that Carter will have a meltdown if he gets booed loudly and the fans know this. Why wouldn't you want to give your home team a distinct advantage by booing Carter and watching him sulk about it because he is mentally fragile.

guys listen up...the next time you go to a raps game...don't cheer.. don't chant 'defense defense' ....dont chant 'lets go raptors' ....don't 'ole anything' .... just sit there...and be silent....

if you do any of the above....you might throw off the other team.

That's just classless :wavefinger:

Jose has been phenomenal, his energy level is high at all times and he always seems to make the right offensive decision. The quickness of that drive on the baseline against Marcus Williams was unbelievable and his shot has become deadly. He doesn't have the greatest form but his legs are in his shot and his follow-thru is always there.

It's going to be awfully hard for Sam to hand the starting job back to TJ. I'm a TJ fan first but I got to look at Calderon's play and say you can't possibly ask a player who's producing this well, this consistently to take a back seat. People say he's weak defensively which is true to some extent but if his offensive production is this high, you do everything to hide that and make sure he's in the game.

I like how Mike Evans experimented with playing TJ/Jose at the same time, unless they're getting exploited defensively, why not put them in the game? At least to test things out.

Lets just forget what he did and move on. Hey, that trade helped us get the players we have today. And it let Bosh develop.

Let me put it in perspective for you, son.

A man meets a girl and falls in love. They get married.

The first two years of the marriage are great. Lots of great sex.

Then she starts to change. "I have a headache," she says. And then, one day, its pretty clear that she no longer loves you.

One morning, she says, "I want to be with another man. I need a change of scenery." So you dump her on her butt.

But no matter how hard you try to move on - even though you marry a much classier girl - you will still always remember the last horrible part of your marriage and not the first blissful few years.

You will carry this spite like a yoke on your back. And your best friends will all agree that you deserve to resent the girl for the rest of your life.

Booing VC clearly rattles his fragile ego and knocks him off his game. This helps the Raptors.

How is that a bad thing? This isn't the ballet.

dagger wrote:If Bargnani could play 82 times against the Nets, he'd be an all-pro defender. Seriously, he was that good, and that energized.

Bargnani wasn't defending Duncan or Shaq, but last time I checked The Nets were still part of the NBA and he did a solid job.

Bargnani will never be Ben Wallace-like. However, his defensive play continues to improve, despite those who a month claimed it could not and would not get better.

Leo Rautins noted during the game that Bargnani's defensive play has shown marked improvement over the past few weeks.

Also, offensively Bargs would move down low and then jump back up top. Almost every time, he'd bring a NJ big with him and it left Bosh with more room inside.

El Presidente wrote:-= original quote snipped =-[Calderon] doesn't have the greatest form

His form is pretty textbook. Elbow at a 90 degree angle, a shot that's all wrist, and he gets his legs into it as you noted, with his leading leg pointed in the direction of the basket. It can't be restated enough how great a game Calderon had, his shooting has gone from mediocre to absolutely deadly. The shot he took catching the ball in mid-air that didn't count was wicked! Even Gil would've been impressed. Glad to hear he may be attending All-Star weekend after all.

On a side note, I've played ball with the guy who got picked in the dating game, thought his answers were funny. Good dude, felt bad to see him get booed the way he did, but he won in the end so it's not a big deal. Wonder if he did "take it hard to the hole" later that night.

I don't know if it's been said and if it has oh well but I love the new ( I've only seen it the past few weeks) play for Kaponon running the baseline for an easy lay up ... IMO he's going to be so valuable come playoff time
