Charlie V might be the last person they are looking to get rid of for cap space, third only to Bogut and Yi

^I dont think thats necessarily true. He's only playing 20 minutes a game and doesnt really seem to fit.

That said, he's still too valuable to give up for ONLY cap space, and he's a forward. We've already got Maxiel and Amir to develop at the positions Charlie V is suited for, even though I do like him from his Toronto days quite a bit.

I was thinking that he'd come off our bench to present matchup problems at SF/PF, much like Corliss did for us. He could beat up on smaller SF's and use his quickness against slower PF's.

This trade allows MIL to build around their core of Williams/Redd/Yi/Bogut

But I bet that MIL would dump Redd now for the right package. He's obviously taking that team nowhere. CV is still on his rookie deal.

There is absolutely nothing on the Bucks I would ever want on the Pistons. Not even if they were giving up Bogut for free.

That's a little ignorant to say you don't wany anyone on the Bucks. Especially Bogut, we are so thin at center, and Bogut is a legit starting center who's still improving. Bogut isn't the reason that teams losing, he's playing pretty well. Ever since Yi stopped lighting it up, Bogut's been a double double machine, and he's a good passer.

Villanueva is a bit soft for this team, I don't think we need another finess foward like Dyess and Sheed. Plus he's worth much more than that package.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

I would certainly take Bogut, Yi and Redd if they were free. But I'd hate to pay Redd all that money, and I'd expect Yi to play backup as well as Bogut, but he could be our center of the future.

I like Charlie V, but we really don't need him on our team - I like Sheed, Dice, max and Amir to take all our big guy minutes and just don't see a need for anything else unless someone was happy to sit on our bench.

Bogut is not the player his stats say he is. He gets abused defensively and his offense really isn't that impressive when you actually watch him play. He also has a very nasty attitude and I don't mean in the Sheed sense where he's passionate about the game, he gets angry and his game and team suffer.

Michael Redd is disputedly the Bucks best player. If his jumpshot isn't falling he's Arvis Hayes. Except Hayes will rebound and get a few steals. Redd is probably the most un-clutch max player ever.

Charlie is a nice SF but he's overhyped due to being a former Raptor. He'll give you a couple nice highlights but then he disappears for games at a time. He's basically a beefier Tayshaun Prince without the defense or bbiq.

There is no player on the Bucks I would want on my team. :wavefinger:

LOL there is some major hate for the Bucks around here... I mean, they don't play well together, but you guys make them out to be the worst NBA players in the world.

We obviously don't need Redd because we have Hamilton, but I would take their bigs. I know Bogut has a minor attitude problem and hates Americans, but facts are facts, the guy can play. Charlie V is solid too but both players need 1 or 2 more years before they can be really solid. Neither will be a star but both could be very good starters.

Give Bogut some props... he's even getting some blocks this year. He's on my fantasy team so I've been following him closely, and he's been a pleasant suprise for my squad. I think of all bigs on the Bucks, he's the one we'd want most. His defense isn't as bad as you say, he's a low post threat, has nice touch, and as we said a great passer. He's certainly not worth his #1 pick status, but he's a solid center.

Andrew Bogut is also on my fantasy team, and is the 85th ranked player overall. Only Anthony Carter (83rd) and Jamario Moon (84th) are available free agents better than Bogut, but that's only because yahoo overvalues steals.
He is the...16th best center in the league, according to yahoo, behind Stoudemire/Camby/Ming/Sheed/Jefferson/Bynum/Kaman/Miller/Howard/Biedrins/Ilgauskus/Dalembert/Chandler/Thomas/Okafor.
I didn't count F-C Bosh/PF Boozer/F-C Duncan/F-C Gasol/PF Harrington/PF Aldridge as C's, even though yahoo does.
When you consider that Stoudemire would move to PF upon Shaq's arrival, that Bynum has been injured, that Biedrins has been benched in favor of Webber, and that Mohammed has recently started for the Bobcats, Bogut is the 11th best center in the league, statistically.

His statistics *may* be overrated, but it appears that he is in the better half of "5 men" in this league. When you factor in his age and size (ie girth), I would most CERTAINLY take him for free.
I would trade for him, even. Imagine that.
