My mistake, I thought that I recalled him still being on the east allstar ballot because when the ballot was released he was still in the east and they decided not to change that.

Doesn't the NBA know that Hedo has an earring? Oh wait, no tattoo. Darn, Hedo forgot the tattoo. His hair is too short right now for corn rows, so tattoo might be the way to go. He still has time.

What are you insinuating? That Hedo needs to be black to be an all-star? Nash and Nowitzki are white all-stars, but they don't have corn rows and earrings. Both are also "international" players. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you suggesting that Hedo needs to appear more "black"?

The fact that Ray Allen got in over Hedo is laughable and again points to how horrible the NBA is in many aspects.

Besides, I am fairly certain that Hedo is blacker than Ray Allen.

i saw this coming, why would hedo go when ray is going to be in championship game next to the lakers as stern wants...i mean "might" happen, that only adds to it with a bunch of all-stars LOL poor magic they can't help they are a small market... yeah i hope that only allows hedo to rest and get outraged and go off on the NBA LOL!

^ david stern and the refs wont be able to do ish when hedo starts tearing up the celtics on his own and dropping 65 points a game in the playoff series and blowing them out 4-0 reminiscent of jordan when he got snubbed from his high school team and made the nba only to be one of the best players to play the game.

this is outrageous...celtics dont deserve it..ray allen is playing with 2 of the best players in the nba and still isn't doing the same thing that hedo has been doing...LEADING the team in scoring, assists, rebounding.....okay maybe not rebounding..but...still..

Winning teams always get favoritism in this regard. Look at the Pistons a few years back - 4 of the starters were AS.

Winning teams ? What, are we a losing team ?

I think it has more to do with name, Boston, Detroit are more known then Orlando, have done more then Orlando, basically like a superstar treatment but this time for well known teams instead of well known players.

But what are we if not a winning team? This isn't Joe Johnson on a 21-28 team we're talking here. The Magic are winning more than 6/10 games, which is good enough for third in the conference. And Turkoglu is having a better season than at least three of the already-designated all-stars.

I don't disagree, just that's the way it is.

Ray Ray has more name recognition than Hedo. Plus they are winning 8/10 games ;-)

Basically the NBA tries to avoid people who may be having fluke seasons. This way we don't look back and see guys like Wally and Okur have made All Star teams. This is the main reason that Calderon has been left off even though he is having an insane year that may be even better tha Hedo's.

This has nothing to do with winning and losing and everything to do with name recognition and the NBA's hard on for Boston.
