Who should replace Kobe in the All-Star game??

Then again with Ray Allen's addition in the east you can never underestimate the stupidity of the coaches. Celtics would be better with Delonte + Yi + Wally with the way Allen has played this year..

I think that there is a strong argument for both Baron Davis and Deron Williams...maybe its the Jazz homer in me, but I think Deron Williams is the better player. Their stats are comprable...a few of the differences could be argued because of the team they play for and their style of game.


Deron: 19.1 PPG, .514 FG%, .800 FT%, .407 3PT%, 3.0 REB, 9.7 ASST, 1.2 STL, 0.3 BLK, 3.5 TO, 30 Double Doubles. Team Record: 34-19, 1st place in the NW Division, 3 games out of best record in the West.

Baron: 21.6 PPG, .418 FG%, .744 FT%, .342 3PT%, 4.8 REB, 8.0 ASST, 2.5 STL, 0.5 BLK, 2.75 TO, 13 Double Doubles, Team Record: 32-20, 3rd Place in Pacific Division, 4.5 games out of best record in the West.

Deron scores a little less that Baron, but Deron is the 3rd or 4th option on his team, where Baron is often times #1 or 2. That also is why Deron has the better assist #'s. Deron is obviously the better shooter...just look at those percentages! WOW! Baron is the better defender with the quick hands and steals. The rebounds I dont look too much at. Deron is on a team with Boozer, Okur, Millsap, etc... He doesnt need to do much rebounding, the same cant be said for Baron. I think in the end their differences even them out and you have to look at what they have helped their teams accomplish.....Deron has the upper hand on that. I think Deron deserves the slot.

Well, seeing his stats and Deron's stats are extremely close...he leads in some catergories, Deron leads in others....., and the Jazz have the better record, thats not a very good argument for Davis.

I'd go with Williams as well.

First of all, both, as well as Manu Ginibili, would have been a better pick than Roy. I really like Roy a lot -- he's got a very bright future -- but that was simply a mistake to pick him over the other three.

Davis is more spectacular, more flamboyant, and undoubtedly a marvelous player.

I just prefer Williams' style; he's so much more consistent and dependable. He's shooting a full TEN percentage points better from the floor while averaging roughly the same amount of points. I'm not sure people really understand what a massive difference this makes over the course of a season in terms of efficiency.
