Been under a rock?

Their fans expect them to make the playoffs next year with Oden.

And they are not below average. They are at least average.

i didnt know the blazers were going to be a good team for a while, minus their 13 game winning streak they are 15-24, and greg oden looks to me to be closer to the next kwame brown then bill russell, how can a guy that cant even dominate in college be expected to dominate in the pros

Oden took his team to the National Championship in his freshman season and had 25 points, 12 rebound and 4 blocks against the best college team, while playing a huge chunk of the season with his weak left hand due to surgery on his right hand. How is that not dominating?

Let me ask you a question:
Are you an idiot?
How can you 'minus' their 13 game winning streak from their record? They played those 13 games and they won them all.
If you 'minus' the 41 losses Miami has suffered this year they'd also be at a perfect 9-0 record. Pretty good, right?

Furthermore, they are not a 'below-average' team.
You can take 'average' as .500 and the Blazers would still be at .538
Considering they're 10th seed in the Western Conference compared to the East, where they would be at least 6th seed, I'd say they're pretty damn decent considering they don't have their #1 pick from the 2007 draft, or what you would like to call it "a guy who can't even dominate in college". Did you not watch Oden play last year? He was picked #1 for a reason. Some people seem to forget that just because he's injured.

To pay for the loss or revenue due to poor attendance? (Causing even lower attendance which causes them to raise prices more until you are going to MSG and paying 100.00per stub for nosebleed seats to watch Isiah Thomas run the Knicks further into the ground.)

They're a good team that overachieved this year but has a great future. It would be stupid to not raise prices. Also... u can't just minus their 13 game winning streak like that... It's like me saying that minus their 15-24 record, they were 13-0.

However... this point can be applied to other teams like the Raptors who actually raised prices during the the Rob Babcock era.

last time i checked kwame brown and joe smith were picked number one and kandi man was a top three pick, look how they planned off, greg odens highest peak will be a samuel dalembert type player, and his lowest is kwame. brandon roy is solid but what the hell else do they have? they will finish the season at .500

Which below average team lowered their ticket prices?

So because 3 other centers failed before Oden that means that Oden is automatic average center. Your logic is amazing.

The Blazers are already an above average team. Add Oden into the mix... if I lived in Portland, I'd certainly pay extra to see that.

Where's that moron that claimed that Portland is "rich" and that their owner doesn't care about making a profit now?

Supply and Demand.

Portland and their fans have always been a loyal bunch. Before this past say.. 5 years ago they were always sold out. A faithful, following in season ticket holders and their city really gets behind them. With the new talent and the bright future those fans that left are back and so are new ones.
Cheers. — Mags

First off, your hate fuels me, its delicious.

Second off, Portland was expected to be one of the worst teams in the league, but instead are in the midst of the playoff chase (we're not going to make it, but we're still kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda in the chase still).

Add on 1 parts number 1 overall pick, 1 parts best player in europe coming over, 3 parts one of the best fan bases in the league, and strain out the blind hate, and its not hard to understand.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

adding 5% to tickets really isnt noticeable..

$105 for a $100 seat really aint gonna ruffle too many feathers...

theAteam should change his name to theFteam
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Oden looks like he's been working on his upper body strength while sitting out the season. His arms look twice as big as in college even in the relaxed state he's in there.

Assuming he'll fail just because others before him have is ridiculous.
