Is there any way for the Hawks to get Devin Harris?

The Dallas/NJ trade fell flat when George pulled out because NJ wanted his expiring contract. Is there any way for the Hawks to slide into this trade, taking Harris, and passing on something else on to Dallas besides just an expiring contract? I wanted to play around with that on Trade Checker, but I don't understand the whole "posion pill" stipulation. I also wondered:

Should we make a run at Diop at the end of the season since he will be an unrestricted free agent. I'd be willing to trade Shelden for an expiring to make room for him. With Zaza and Diop backing up Hortford and Smith, we would have a big bench backing up smaller running starters, kinda of like what Phoenix is trying to do . . . but to a much more conservative degree.

No. Harris was the one piece NJ wanted. They needed an expiring deal to throw in place of George, not Harris.

There probably is a way to get harris, but it would involve us trading away Smith or Horford to get it done.
