It'll go down

Remove George from the trade & maybe remove Malik Allen & substiute another player

Or call Keith Van Horn & sign & trade him.

I believe all you have to do is substitute Eddie Jones for George., although Jones has one extra year on his contract, and it is a player option for 2 mill along with the fact he is more serviceable.

I know Rod wanted George's expiring for a seperate deal of some sort, but George makes about $580,000 more this year, and Jones makes $2mill next year, if he even excepts his option, so if he needed to include either in a seperate deal it wouldn't be dramatically different.

Your reasoning for this trade going down coincides with Thorn not wanting to. Remember, Ratner is our owner. He'll try to save as much money as he could especially after trading a ticket seller.

lol..i hope you dont mean this summer..

:(

Anyway, if George weren't being included for salary reasons, this deal would be done by now. It seems that now that both teams have essentially consummated this trade and exposed their cards to the rest of the league, there's pressure on Dallas to push this through or someone else could come in and offer something similar (though i doubt it). Either way, if there wasn't such emphasis on shedding George's salary this year, or at least that much in salary this year, then i'd think the Eddie Jones replacement would be viable (that is, of course, if Dallas doesn't see Eddie Jones as an important piece to their team)
