Why would Portland consider VC to begin with? The Blazers should consider jumping into the Kidd sweepstakes since it appears that Devean George of all ppl blocked the trade on yesterday and going 0-11 on top of that.

I'd really like to get Kidd, but not at what the Nets want for him. And now thanks to Cuban, the Nets have something to point to and say "See! Kidd does have a lot of value!"

Plus, Kidd's agent seems to have really forced the Nets into a corner by only allowing them to trade him to 3 different teams. And with Portland out of the playoff picture (although not REAL far out), I doubt Kidd will be happy coming to Portland.

IIRC, back when the 3 way deal was being discussed, the Nets were reportedly getting Outlaw, Jack, Frye and our First... and we were only getting Harris and possibly Brandon Bass.

Honest Outlaw would be the sticking point, his game among all blazers would be effected by playing with Kidd.

Portland doesn't and, im sure part of it would be due to VC having a track record of a quitter.
