They both were. Check the playoff stats for Jose and Ford. They were the only Raps that were consistently excellent. IMO, Forderon isn't breaking up for at least another year. The current success on the Raps pretty much depends on them playing well.
Consider, even with Calderon's fantastic play as the undisputed starter with Ford injured, the Raptors have been unable to get higher than 5 games over .500. The pointguards and Bosh are our only clear advantage. Right now, we surround them with high quality shooters and hope for the best. We aren't in championship mode yet, so no need to tamper with what's working yet. We really need to see how the combo works after all-star and the playoffs.
