How are mods evaluated?

Post#1 » by Comet » Fri Feb 15, 2008 4:27 am

Yeah, I already know there's a system set up to complain about a mod: 1. PM the mod in question, 2. PM another mod from the same board, 3. PM a global mod, 4. PM a commish.

But is this the only way RealGM knows if a certain mod is corrupt? Are mods directly watched, and if so, how?

Most of the mods here do a great job, but what if a mod does indeed become corrupt? How are they stopped?

were judged on our lyrics and how easy we are to dance to - mods will report the bad egg ourselves - it's taken care of

they are not evaluated. only if the other mods on the same board have a problem with that mod's moderation, they will probably bring it up to a commish. if it continues, then he would get stripped of his duties. it would have to really really bad to get to that level.

Every second Thursday during the 18 month evaluation period, new mods are strapped to a gurney, shot full of sodium pentothal, and asked embarrassing questions about our personal life.

I have yet to figure out what this has to do with our modding ability, but the commissioners seem to get a kick out of it.

And for anyone who wants to know, when Schadenfreude was put under this procedure, the only think he'd mutter was:

"I like sheep".

I don't understand why it was such a big deal. Who doesn't like sheep? They provide wool, meat, and make for excellent companions.

...as pets, I mean. Purely as pets. Soft, cuddly pets.

Once a month, we're asked "Do you think you're corrupt?"

We all answer "Depends...what's in it for me?"

We all go back to what we were doing.

(If we don't answer appropriately, our rations of red font are curtailed. Three violations, and we're limited only to blue.)
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

All I know is I ran a 4.3 40 at the RealGM Combine and my agent said it boosted my stock up to the mid-second round.

In all seriousness, once every year, we're asked to complete a moderator evaluation form. The form is then diagnosed by the admins.

If a mod feels like they don't have the time to do what they're asked properly, they won't continue to fill that position.

So mods aren't stripped naked by the admins every year?

Well, thanks for the answers.

That part's optional.

We all do it anyway. :eyebrows:
