SAS rescues the Kidd trade?

Post#1 » by pad300 » Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:20 am

A proposal that might be interesting to even Devean George

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=762037

To summarize 2 rent a players for SA's stretch run, DAL gets Kidd, NJ moves Kidd for Salary cap space, picks and a prospect (Harris).

Comments welcome.

Why would we help out the Spurs like this?

Because this is a no-cost to you method of getting your Kidd deal to work? Seriously think the logic through. Either you think you can beat SA with Kidd. Diop isn't all that good, cause you dumped him off. Therefore you can beat SA after they get Diop. Or why is DAL trading for Kidd in the 1st place?

:nonono: You need to think your logic through. Diop is a very solid player that could help the Spurs quite a bit. We are overpaying for Kidd by giving Diop up but that doesn't mean we are dumping him. It just means Cuban is a dumb***

Desagna Diop is a very good rotational shotblocker. Stop over rating him.

He's a legitimate defensive center for 20 minutes a game. But him with Dampier and we have the defensive big man we need.

Why are so many non-mav fans over here trotting around like they know anything? They are just here to pick a fight! Funny thing is, he's the same philly fan that thinks Andre Miller is better than Harris!

Yeah, he helps the Spurs by him NOT being on the Mavs!
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...
