The 2008-09 New New Jersey Nets: Thanks Rod!

I can see this happening IF Jermaine O'Neal checks out healthy enough in the next week (or off-season) and these trades take place.

1. Kidd, Malik, Antoine W for Harris, Stackhouse, Ager, Diop, $3 mill, 2 1st rounders 2008 and 2010, 1 2nd rounder plus either George or KVH contract

2. Vince for JO

3. Boki, Magloire, Darrell Armstrong, 1st Rounder 2008(Dallas) for Mike Miller and lottery protected 1st rounder 2011

4. Trade Boone and our 1st rounder 2010 for a SG named Eric Gordon, OJ Mayo, or Bill Walker

C Jermaine O
PF Kristic
SF Jefferson
SG Miller
PG Harris
6 Sean Williams
7 Kevin Lowe
8 Marcus Williams
9 Diop
10 Bill Walker/Eric Gordon/OJ Mayo
11 Swift
12 Ager

This would be a completely different but very exciting team. Give them 3 years to mesh and I think they take Brooklyn by storm. I like the youth, the depth, athleticism, D (Harris, Jermaine (if healthy), Jefferson, Kristic (to a point for team D), SW, Diop, Swift, one of the new SGs, and Ager.

What do you guys think??

The 1st two trade ideas dont work financially. NJ needs to throw in about $2 mil worth of contracts to make the VC-ONeal deal work. You are trading Boki, Wright, Mags, Allen, Boone and Armstrong in other deals so you cant throw them in, Kristic and the Williams' are likely off limits and you cant package any of the players acquired through other trades with VC since they were recently acquired, I dont see it happening.

JKiddy, I totally agree with you.

Thorn will work his magic and get us the next Kobe, Lebron, Wade, MJ SG whatever means necessary.
