I doubt its possible, but it would be great to see Lebron James come to the C's while he's still in his prime. I'm even willing to forgive his frontrunner fan lifestyle off the court (Yankees? Cowboys?).

Ok - good topic - until you said Lebron... RealGM has a Fantasy board - take it there.

If you want to talk about players we have a shot at - I vote Del West.

I like Diop for a fa signing next year. I Also like Navarro and Marc Gasol(he may not want to go Memphis b/c of what he's bro went through).

I'd love to see Dwayne Wade in Boston in a couple of years when Ray Allen's contract expires. By then we'd have 2 rings and KG would still be a force in the league whille Miami will be retooling with Gordon/Rose/Mayo....etc.

Here are some players I wouldnt mind us gettin in the years to come.

Mike Bibby(he would be awsome off the bench)

Jeff Foster(wish every player had his heart)

Kurt Thomas(Just what the doctor ordered)

Gerald Green(would like to see him get it here)

Ryan Gomes(nuff said)

Robert Swift(just to see what all the fuss is about)

Renaldo Balkman(defense)

David Lee(just solid)

Desagana Diop(tough defender)

I would love the C's to draft Chase Budinger because he reminds me of Larry Bird. A tall white kid with a good court preception and the ability to make good decesions on the court. Also he'sgot a great shot and is a positive influence on teams with his constant optomism.

In terms of who I would like to see come to the Celtics in terms of current NBA players I would've loved to see Gerald Green come back to the Celtics because I felt that he had alot of untapped potential.

For my fantasy for a player to come to the Celtics either this year or in coming years it would have to be Chris Paul. Don't get me wrong I love Rondo, but Chris is just ridicolous with his ability to get the ball around and make plays look so simple.
Does anyone actually believe that either Mike Brown or Doc Rivers have done any coaching during the series, or in their undistinguished careers?

I think if Gerald came back KG would be able to push him to the point where he could understand the game.

There are quite a few players in the league I really like but I suppose I can divide it up into a few different groups. I couldn't be bothered finding out about contract lengths and when they become free agents etc so I will just assume hypothetically they will be available.

1. Role players for the next three to four years while we are hopefully contending for and winning championships:

Sam Cassell
Earl Watson
Tony Battie
Jason Maxiell
Bobby Simmons
Brandon Bass
Adrian Griffin

2. Current big money players who might be available for much less or young talent who might be available for mid level type money in a few years when we have some cap space. Some of the young players of course could get a whole lot better and demand much higher money.

Elton Brand
Corey Maggette
Carlos Boozer
Michael Redd

Hakim Warrick
Kyle Lowry
Sean Williams
Louis Williams
Damien Wilkens
Ronnie Brewer
Yi Jianlian
Andrew Bogut
Thabo Sefolosha
Andris Biedrins

3. Young talent or big name players that will require big money to get here in a few years when we have cap space. Most probably range from very, very unlikely to never going to happen but we can dream cant we?

Al Jefferson (ha)
Caron Butler
Amare Stoudemire
David West
Chris Paul
Luol Deng
Monta Ellis
Chris Bosh
Brandon Roy
LaMarcus Aldridge
Danny Granger
Shaun Livingston
Al Horford
Andrew Bynum
Josh Smith

I realise you could argue the placements on a few of these guys but heh.

Trying to stay rooted in reality here...

This year - Sam Cassell makes the most sense and is most realistic. I recall that we have a $1.2mm trade exception from Delonte - would Dikembe be willing to spend a few months in Boston? And this might be a reach, but I keep reading that POR is looking to move players to make roster space for next year - would they give us Jack for the exception, cash and future picks? Again, I know a reach, but just saying...

Next Year - I'm with the birdman (and others) - Kurt Thomas would be a wonderful add on a Posey-like 2 year deal. If Brent Barry wants to come play 10-15 mpg for the minimum, great. Same for Darrell Armstrong.

Delonte West & ZaZa Pachulia as role players.

I love Ryan Gomes but I think Tony Allen & Posey are more what the Celtics need. Gomes wouldn't get a lot of playing time in Boston.

Ike Diogu from the Pacers. He hardly even plays for them, and this kid is a baller. He's a good rebounder and shot blocker, and has a surprisingly effective offensive game. I saw him play in Vegas at the SL, a few years ago and he was one of the most impressive bigs that I saw. He's a little undersized for a PF at 6'8", but he has a ridiculous wingspan that offsets his height issue. Make it happen, Danny!

Anything's possible. We live in a big market and Lebron is always looking to make as much money as possible. He'll look at New York, Chicago, LA and Boston when he becomes a free agent.

Jeff Foster: Every time I see him I wonder why he hasn't been traded to a better team. He's a top-notch rebounder, good athlete, and an impact player whenever he's out there. He's on my all-underrated 1st team.

Tayshaun Prince: This will never happen (especially since Detroit's our biggest rival in the conference), but I've always liked his overall game.

Zaza Pachulia: Another underrated athletic big man.

Gomes: I know everyone loves Powe/Davis at the moment, but I still have a soft spot for Ryan. Of all the ex-Celtics he's the one I'd like to see return the most (that actually have a shot to, unlike Al).

And finally, I'd like to see Kevinn Pinckney, Akin Akingbala, or Brandan Wallace return. I just have a soft spot for having a big NBDL guy on your roster; don't know why.
